Ruby Theory
This is a complex Ruby defeating method I made. If done right, it will create and infinite loop to kill the colasall tyrant. It's a nice challenge, hard to do, but has been tested several times and works perfectly.
Enjoy.

This is a way to beat Ruby WEAPON in a complicated, effcient manner....
3 players
MATERIA EQUIP
e.g. Cloud is the one I used for this....
W-Item
HP Plus so he was at 9999
HP<->MP swap (the only real use I've found for this...)
Quadra Magic Bahamut Zero
Master Summon
Final Attack Knights of the Round
Final Attack Life(maxed out)
Final Attack Hades (maxed, but this is not required)
Master Magic
W-Summon
OTHER MEMBERS
Don't bother
All right, here is how this works...
You go in there for instance, with Cloud, TIfa, and Vincent.
Kill off Vincent. Follow this up with decimating Tifa. Then have Cloud cast Knights of the Round twice, and don't worry about healing or anything. If you get his limit break, you can use it, but there's little point.
Now, when Cloud is killed, he will bring himself back, and cast Knights of the Round upon return, and Hades to stun him temporarily, if you bothered. Ruby won't do the whirlsand or w/e because two characters are out...
Should he get low on MP, just use a couple of ethers, though you should only need about 4000 to 5000 MP to make this work at the most, unless the claws take some away...
This takes a while, but the method works, and if you get bored, you can put a rubber band and the Memory key on in the Config menu, and have it hold down the circle button for Knights of the Round.
This takes some time to do, but my friends always wanted a hard, but efficient way to kill this guy, so I went through the time of making one...
I think in total, this whole thing took me two months to set up, because when I started this, I started the game over.

I think the main key here is Knights of the Round, I used only Cloud with the summon combo technique and watch the whole show. Kinda boring watching the same thing repeat again and again +_+.

It is, but you don't have to do anything. I hear people always saying they can't beat him, so that's why I made it. Yeah, Knights of the Round is a pretty big key cause they do so much damage.

Well... I havenīt tried it out, since Ruby Weapon just got the better on me and I donīt want hard methods (the challenge is Emerald ), just pawn him with slots

Emerald actually was much easier then this guy, eesh. Ruby wasn't even in the Japanese version turns out. I'm not sure Emerald could be fought in that version either...
In any case, if anyone requests it, I'll make a easy Emerald method. This one was made to be complicated, challenging, but with little work when it came to the actual fight.

Yeah, the key to beating Emerald is to have as few materia equipped as possible. Maybe just a healing and a Knights of the Round for one person. Protection and Revive for the other two. Emerald's most constant attack does 1111 damage for each materia each member has. Or was it each one in all...
Ribbosn work well with Ruby though. I did this without a ribbon.

Well... I didnīt say he was THAT hard... But the battle is just a bit more exciting that battling Ruby Weapon and watch how he crushes you in 20 seconds...
And, my challenge is without Omnislash and KOTR... Adn without both of them... Emerald Weapon is also a really hard fight.
