This reminds me of an amazing episode from Super Junior Explores the Human body (it's like myth busters, except the host already knows all the answers and it's about biology).
Nothing like subjugating famous korean boys to scientific torture. XD
they had an episode where they had to eat the hottest peppers on the planet. Ohhhh goodness do they mess with each other. Then there's an episode later in the series when another group comes on the show and they make them eat the peppers. apparently, they have a much higher tolerance. XD

Agreed, Spice and hot are too different. Hot indicates a temperature, if we're talking about hot in terms of a chilli it's based upon the Scoville count in the chilli.
