Again, that is just speculation. Both characters being at level 1, there is no way to predict who would win. Link throws his boomarange at Cloud, Cloud is frozen, one sword strike kills him. Cloud wails on Link one time with his sword, Link is dead. I'm not playing any favorites here, but at level 1 it would entirely be up to luck to see who wins...
I personaly like Cloud better than Link, but that dosn't mean that I'd bet the farm on him if they were to fight at level 1, too many unknowns. Luck would be the deciding factor.
