I got Resistance with my PS3 and also Motorstorm and I think Resistance is the best FPS ever although I don't play all that many tbh. The AI in the single player mode is really great and thats why I liked it. The game also has some really great weapons where in the single player you have to really think what weapons best to use in certain situations.
I havent done much of the multiplayer yet but it seems like the type I like in a FPS. Fast and Arcadey

Whenever im at my friends house (bahamut_man) and i talk about it he says that it used to b cool online but he dont lik it now becuz noobs use the laark and 40 mils. way 2 much but i rlly dontymind it tht much

im sorry, Halflife 2 has FAR better AI. actually F.E.A.R has probably the best AI in a game ive seen yet.
if you think Resistance is good, you really need to try Unreal Tournament, which is the real king of the FPS. if you are all PS3 enthusiastic dont worry, Unreal Tournament IS coming to the PS3, and then you can realize the awesomeness of how much better it is than Resistance.
i suddenly feel like a fanboy, but christ, Resistance was really nothing special.

I know im hoping to try Half Life 2 when it gets released on PS3 with a bunch of other games. I will also try Unreal as well. Just for me I don't play many FPS and Resistance is the first next gen (current gen) one ive played since I don't play them on my Laptop so it felt like a new experience straight away for me. Im sure for someone who plays a lot more FPS it is nothing special but for me when one FPS a gen is usually enough because its not my favourite genre it was a good game.

well then you are in for a treat when Orange box comes out. im excited to play Ep2, Team fortress 2, and Portal.
you play games on your laptop?
get Steam and try HL2, i think they offer a demo for it, and you can judge if it runs on it or not.
HL2 is a 3 year old game... an amazingly good 3 year old game.

I don't really play many games on my laptop because of the controls with FPS and also it tends to overheat annoyingly sometimes. However my brother has steam on his laptop and has completed Half Life 2 and Ep1 but ive just never bothered to play it. Ill try and ask him.

this is a bit late but honestly i didnt think half life 2 had tht great ai and UTIII was good but there was only lik 3 game modes

the AI in HL2 was fine, nothing special, it did improve quite a bit on group tactics on HL2 Ep2 where creatures will help each other out to take you out.
