Relationship MegaThread!
So ive got a generally tiny question and without a place to put it I figured id make a thread for all the tiny questions people wouldnt normally ask.
So ive got a chick friend. and as most dudes know, having a female friend doesnt mean you arent interested in them other ways. Such is the case here. Shes in a lot of my classes and we hang out a lot and truth be told we are pretty good friends. She started seeing this guy and its been like... 1-2 months now. Shes pretty shy and this is her first "real" relationship. so ive never met the guy until last night at a mutual friends bday party. we got along. generally speaking hes got the same sense of humor as myself and hes got a rad beard so props for that.
so the problem comes in when alcohol is introduced. Me and chick friend have been dancing around the fact that would would get a little frisky but im a gentleman. im not the guy that takes chicks away from other guys. thats totally uncool. but i guess im only human. after turning her down repeatedly throughout the night we end up outside on the front porch like 4 inches from each other and her boyfriend comes out. at this point nothing had happened at all. I played it off cool but after that her and the boyfriend were fighting and blah blah blah and he left.
at this point we've both had way too much to drink and she doesnt really care and once again confronts me outside and we end up hooking up a little bit. then hooking up inside the apt where the party is and so on and so forth.
heres the thing. i feel bad. i feel like a douchebag. even more so because honestly i dont want a relationship now and im like 75% sure that even if i did it wouldnt work with her, so friendship is the obvious answer. anyway, i just dont know if i should feel guilty at all? I dont know if i did anything wrong really. she says I didnt but that just doesnt seem right as it always takes two.
bottom line, tomorrow is gonna be interesting lol.

You know T-Reifer, I have the same sort of story to tell from a week ago but throw in the "other guy" with "my best friend for the past 12 years" XD. Though they weren't really 'together' just that he still had the hots for her.
But everything is ok now. I really had to push her off because it was just too awkward, especially since she was so forward, and thankfully we're still friends. The other plus is that she lives on the other side of the city so it is a really long way away by car. lol
So yes, tell us about the next day.

it sure was awkward.
the dude clearly doesnt care about her and after their short time is still sticking to his "i need some me time/break" bullsht.
that being said today was better and after too much talking nothing is going to change. shes gonna just wait to hear back from him and im gonna continue being me lol.
i laugh actually as this once again proves that I am the master of terrible timing.
but yeah, its all good. hes a * and hates me, but im not really phased by that lol.

Well girls always seem to get drawn to guys who are self centred, and end up being hurt because the girl doesn't get cared for.
I really don't like relationships where there is so much talking going on about past ex's etc and if your friends know this person. That's why I steer clear of relationships for now, it just does my head in, I'm normally very calm and collected and always just say my honest opinion but sometimes you just can't in those cases so no thankyou.
Anyway, what happens if she calls off her relationship with that guy with the beard? lol

you guys... im legit an emotional mess right now. how the hell do people deal with divorces and stuff? its gotta be crazy rough. changing your whole life after a ridiculous amount of years.
i mean being with someone that "loves" you for 5 years... thats not a whole lot of time given a human life span but for a 24 year old, thats a significant portion. I put love in quotes because im not so naive that i think i know what love is. I believed it at the time but distance changes that.
regardless, im just failing right now. filled with fail. my motivation is gone. my drive, out the window. and worse yet, i dont want another relationship like ever at this point. im also not the type to just do a one night stand. im not that guy. so that leaves me with focusing on work and school... and i hate that too. i mean i like what i do... but ugh. just ugh.
point of fact: drinking with friends leads to this.
having friends you can truly count on is way more important that any other relationship you will ever have. thats what my conclusion is so far. so ill focus on that I guess.
on a related note, has anyone ever had the alcohol beverage "four loko"? its 12% alcohol beer in good flavors. its a terrible terrible thing lol.

To me, this sounds pretty normal considering the circumstances. I know I felt that way when I lost the woman I had "loved" for nearly 4 years. 
I know it's not much, but I'll say this: You'll get over it, just try not to let it lead to permanent repercussions.

thanks anubis. unfortunately the previously mentioned "couple" is no more in direct response to my actions. unfortunate and i felt bad, but after the blow out i had with the twit and his random buddy that decided to jump in on facebook, ill sleep easier.
reminds me of high school bullsh*t lol.
tipping a drink back to overall victory. guy was a douche and chick deserved better anyway.
