Rebirth

Once I was a fallen star
Knocked down from the heavens.
I tried returning by climbing a mountain,
but found those efforts were pointless.

Then when I tried to cross the river of jordan,
the spirit of the river swallowed me whole.
I was dead I presume
where I went I don't know.

Still when I awoke,
I awoke with this profound realization
that I had been reborn
and was a death god for a nation.

With my wings stretched
and pointed ears alert to anything.
I was now prepared
to show the world my rebirthing.
