random
its snowing out and i just kinda started writing. its about me and my gf. all true (but jumbled) including the end which i just threw in to make it lead somewhere not so romantic. dont know where to take it or even if i should continue. here it is though.

Winter often brings with it thoughts of despair, shades of blue that collaborate against us, but the promise of a new beginning none the less. Waking in the afternoon in the clothes you wore the day before, you find yourself wondering where you are headed. You ask yourself repeatedly what is it that I can offer that nobody else can? The mirror only reflexes your doubt but as you turn away you catch something in the corner of your eye. Its her. She makes you feel alive. Strike that, she makes you feel.
“So whats the plan today bobo?”
“You know… I cant say I know for sure, but first things first, I need some caffeine. Tea or coffee Lauren?”
“That’s a big decision. I think you better make that call,” but I already know. The bigger the jolt, the bigger the smile.
Her innocence is somewhat of a mystery. She was once so elusive and now the center of my life. You ask yourself how you could be so lucky, but you know very well that it isn't luck. It isn't fate either. It has nothing to do with anything. Too much in common? Doubtful. Is it convenient? Far from it. Once again, the same old question, but lately it has been slightly twisted. Where are we going?
“Caffeine… where would I be without you?” as she drinks my extra strong coffee. A smile flashes across her face. In that moment, I can tell she is think something too serious for this hour.
If only I could be more clever on the fly.
“I made it extra strong today considering how little sleep we got,” But in my head im thinking otherwise. I never get a straight 8 hours of sleep next to her, But somehow I feel more rested. She puts me at ease.
“I can tell, speaking of, can you pass the sugar,” as she snatches it out of my hands while sticking her tongue out at me. She always does that. Its too cute for words, so I’ll drop it before I lose myself.
We always miss the sunrise. By the time we wake up it is as if the sun has become our new neighbor across the way. If only we lived together. If only things were more simple, but I’ll take what I can get. I hesitate to say that to her for fear of saying it the wrong way. She is the one settling for me. I know this.
“What is the temperature?”
“It says… you have to guess first.”
“Umm, how about… 65.3?” she says, obviously making fun.
“68, why?”
“Lets try and make it for breakfast.”
Its almost 1 in the afternoon and she wants breakfast. This is why I love her. The dining hall has breakfast till 2, a continental breakfast to be more precise. We have plenty of time and I happen to be starving.
“Are you huuuuungry?” she asks, dragging out the words which I find to be most irresistible.
“Always.”
She giggles, and I am proud. That’s what I have to offer. I can maker her laugh. Her giggles lights up the room more than the sun ever could.

As we exit her building we can see the river. The same river that we see out of her room, the same river that becomes a horrid color of brown when it rains. For this reason I dislike the river, but today, it has a glimmer of hope. Perhaps false hope.
“Eeewies, these don’t really smell like eggs…”
“Chances are they are that eggbeater crap… Im pretty sure you told me that.”
“Hmm, I guess so,” as she shrugs her shoulders and eats the eggs anyway. “I can't remember much of last night, care to fill me in?”
The night before consisted of a series of shots followed by some more shots and then still more shots. Our poison: Absolute vodka. To be honest, it’s the same as cheap vodka, disgusting.
“I cant really remember it either.”
She has a habit of talking about her classes while drunk. She is a psych major and I love that. Being analyzed is cool.
“I do remember you talking about chemical reactions in the brain related to love. The idea of love just being a series of chemical reactions is a little weird… but I assure you lauren, you are far better than chocolate.” Right after I say that I put my head down to take another bite of my syrup soaked pancake. Im always on edge after I say something corny… its like I’m expecting her to laugh, but the usual response is “aw”.
“Awww.” The semi awkward moment of me with a mouthful of pancakes sends her back to her eggs.
Chemically speaking, chocolate triggers the same reactions that love supposedly does, but only in large doses. This fact I have known since I stopped liking chocolate. I felt it was tricking me.
We eat for an hour, we get more coffee, we walk back to the dorm, and suddenly my cell rings. The number reads 0000-000-0000. Too much coffee perhaps?

man, i sooo did not proof read that before i posted it lol. must have been late
scratch that, i just edited it where my words were missing and/or incomplete.
anyway i might keep this going, though im no writer but its pretty soothing to get lost in your own words sometimes. I usual end up surprising myself and i really need to just relax lately so yeah.... anyway....
