ok it dident tell you very easily, but it supports 333mhz memory.

thats PC2700
go to any local retail store and they should carry it.

you probably got PC3200 memory (or 400mhz) which is too fast for your motherboard, but has the same socket type so it will still fit.

unfortunately the memory may be damaged from improper use, return it ASAP and ask for 333mhz memory.

interesting. that is the correct speed of memory.

it must just be incompatible with that motherboard.
i would suggest trying another brand of memory.
Corsar or OCZ are both high-quality memory.

i AM surprised though that the kingston memory dident work.

interesting.

Kingston doesn't work with all boards though. The Micron brand is more compatiable with older and generic boards due to ECC (error correcting code). One of the computers I built a few years ago wouldn't work with Kingston even though the specs were correct. You may also want to check the motherboard's site for driver or BIOS updates.

true, older boards do have very complex compatability lists.

but ive always found Kingston to be quite compatable and generic to be the least.
