PS3 rushed?
apparently the only hardware problem is with.. you guessed it.. HDMI and Blu-Ray. the cell is doing fine.. which supprised me, i thought it would be dead by now.
anyway. my question is this: is the PS3 rushed?
there are still hardware problems, such as no-upscaling and HDMI issues (TV's not working) plus when you consiter there is only one game that was rated anything good that was an exclusive (resistance fall of man) AND adding in that developers are having frame-rate issues with ports from the 360.
now yes, they delayed it because of god knows how many problems they had before (i think a spring launch was a lie the whole time) but quite honestly if they had it atleast in January so it could launch with Oblivion then it might have given them time to.. i duno.. add an upscaler and fix the BD drive.
then again.. the 360 was also assumed to be rushed.. which i dident believe.. but it has close to the same problems.
maybe all launches just feel rushed because noone wants a problem with the consoles.

I dont think it's rushed. Sony's took there time and released the PS3 at a date which IMO they always intended to. The Spring launch was nonsense and im sure Sony only said that to stop people buying the 360. Had the 360 not been out they wouldn't even of mentioned a spring launch.
The games seem like they may be rushed but it's what was going to happen. When the PS2 launched it seemed rushed with the games. The truth is there not rushed it's just there always difficult to code. Sony seems to do this for some reason. If it's anything like the PS2 it will pay off because when developers learn to code properly the games will look amazing. For the time being the 360 is easier to code but all the frame rate issues will be sorted out on the PS3, lets face it in 2 or 3 years time no one will care less that a few launch games have poor framerates.
I dont know about it not being compatible with certain TV's but it doesent really matter for me since ill only be playing on a normal SD TV.

It has been rushed. when they saw that 360 was making a killing they increased the production rate.Sadly this has resulted in numerous problems and the end result is a inferor product.
They even got rid of the dual shock! ( sob)
