PS3 region price comparison (US = super cheap)
The new James Bond movie is good...
Uh, anyway! Ive seen so many people (i.e Americans) complain about the price of the PS3 there. Well. You are actually getting it incredibly cheap compared to the rest of the world. somthing like, oh i dunno a couple of hundred dollars cheaper.
$599 US = $761 AU, however it is being sold in Australia for $999 AU, so we are being ripped off for $140 odd ...
$599 US = 453 Euro, however in Europe the PS3 will retail for 599 Euro, so Europeans are being 'ripped off' 140 odd Euro...
Stop complaining. You are getting a bargain, lol

its not really a bargain. its just cheaper than those two countries.
i do feel bad for Australians though. at that price sony is probably making money per console sold rather than losing money.

140 euros is about... 182 US $
and europe isn't a country XD
it's several... the problem here would be the waiges... not every country earns the same amount of money, for instance, the country i live in now, is probably one of the poorest western european countries... my wage is only 400€ a week ( +/- 520 US $) and that's already above minimum...
so to see someone getting a PS 3 here would be very rare, or a foreigner XD

For me in England the PS3 is gonna be selling for £450. Im not sure how much that is in Euros but it's usually 1 Euro = 60 Pence. So you can easily add a couple of hundred Euros to the price it is in Europe.
In dollars I think its about $900 as 1 pound currently gets you almost 2 dollars.
Anyway the price doesent bother me. Its all based on how much people earn anyway. So us in England are earning about twice as much as Americans for the same amount of work so therefore we can afford to spend more. If that makes sense.

lol, my point is the US version is actually cheaper than every other country (except for Japan I think).
So, you are getting a bargain compared to the rest of the world.
The U.K
U.K: $599 US = 316 Pounds (boy that pound is strong lol), but its being sold for 425 pounds...so its 109 pounds more than the U.S version, therefore way more expensive than the U.S version.
