Trouble is Sony have said Afrika will be released in Japan only. At least the PS3 is region free though so there is always import if you can read Japanese.

For anyone who hasn't heard either MS had a big RPG announcement on Tuesday. Star Ocean 4 is now apparently exclusive on the 360 and The Last Remnant is timed exclusive. The Last Remnant is out in Decemeber and I think Infinite Undiscovery is out in August with Tales of Vesperia about the same time. Quite a nice RPG lineup the 360 has really. |
wait i thought the whole Infinite Undiscovery was basically the Star Ocean exclusive for the 360. i think its by the same team. which would mean making it AND star ocean 4 exclusives on the 360 sort of odd since i think that they were meant to have the same story idea in mind.

I don't really know. Ive never played a Star Ocean game before but the trailer to Star Ocean 4 did look pretty interesting. Infinite Undiscovery is a new series alltogether and I don't know much about it. I know there seperate games though as Inifinite Undiscovery is out this year and Star Ocean 4 is out in 2009. The developer is Tri Ace anyway isn't it so theyll probably have a lot of work to do making 2 games at once. I guess if they are similar games they can just share tech between the 2 games though.

this is as good a place as any to post.
the ps3 is gonna get the 2.40 firmware update come this wednesday (july 2nd) and its gonna have the in game XMB and the trophy system. all previous games will have to be patched to make the trophy system work from what i hear but i doubt that will be a big thing for the new games that have come out.
also no word on if you will have to ... say rebeat mgs4 to get whatever trophy. chances are you will have to replay everything but meh. whatever.
bottom line, its about time.

The new firmware updates out anyway and has been for several hours I think. Id update my PS3 but ive read the update has broken some PAL 60Gigs so im not sure whether to or not.

Well I brought my PS3 over a year a go so I don't really have the warranty. Think I lossed the warranty on the way home from buying my PS3 anyway as I lost my receipt. It must have fell out the bag or something.
Doesen't matter anyway as I took the risk and downloaded the new firmware and my PS3's all working ok.

well the trophys is just the feature, but all previous games have to be patched to use them. so its up to the game designers of whatever game if they want you to have trophies.
and my 40gb ps3 is doing fine with the firmware. though nothing is really... changed until developers patch their games so waiting to dl the firmware is a smart thing to do.
