Possible Xbox 360 Version 2?
Article about a second version of the 360 featuring an HDMI output:

However considering the source, The Inquirer is not a trustworthy site. I remember buying the first Xbox on launch and was disappointed that my PC offered more than it did, so I never bothered getting a 360.

I heard that they were makeing a new one, but I didn't think it would be out so soon.
If Microsoft is releasing pictures and videos of it, then it is in mass production at the moment. If that's the case, we might be seeing it on shelves before summer.

the rumor is that the new one with HDMI and the 65nm chipset and a larger hard drive will come out at $400, the old Premium version will become $300, and the Core will become $250
well, at least its not going to be as expensive as the rumored 3rd version of the PS3 which will come with Disc drive stability (for reduced noise.. if there is any) enhansed media functionality, larger harddrive... and cost upwards of $1500.
i swear to god nintendo has the best idea yet...
new colors... thats it.

Haha totally agree. If Sony goes ahead with an upgraded system they're flat out nuts because as it is they're not up to par with the 360 yet and a large part of it is its LARGE price tag. Making one more expensive is flat out ridiculous.

i think the pricier system would be more for the home user with too much money, not the casual gamer.
it might even beable to upconvert!

it definately offers:
HDMI for the best 1080p output possible.
a 65nm Chipset that will reduce heat, reduce noise, and increase durability.
it MIGHT offer:
a Larger harddrive

er...
no the $1600 or whatever console is not really for gaming, its like a super media center, that can play PS3 games.
the bugs will just have to be squished out over time, there is no good reason for anyone here to buy the $1600 or whatever amount PS3. the $600 is probably more than you will ever need.
just wait a year or two for the bugs to be worked out, then im sure it will be fine to purchase. you shouldent have to buy a whole new console upgrade to get bug fixes. that is NEVER the case.
microsoft did make a bold move, they are re-releasing the 360 with improved specs essentially, the new system with HDMI and a 65nm chipset means two thigns:
1: the Processor got a boost to power
2: the video card got extra power and was redesigned to do Video out.
since it still has to conform to 360 game standards set by the original console, the extra power offered by this new version will not be used, but can be noticed by increased stability.
its like this:
you make a console
then underclock it
you are less likely to have a problem with its hardware because the hardware isint working as hard as before.

Hm does sound good but if it is going to be costing us more (Well depends on how much more) Then is it really getting as, well the hardrive is already big is it is like the X-box, and the noise i don't beleive is a hassel. Reducing heat, yeah that is pretty good i would have to admit and the durabilty, well of course that is good.
So maybe it would be worth getting but how much more extra would they be charging?

from what ive heard. $400
the current 'premium' console without HDMI will drop in price, as will the core system.
Microsoft JUST started to make a small profit from the console sales, and lowering the price, while adding a beefed up console with more in it for the same price as a year and a half ago (it will be summer when it is out) makes sense.
maybe in 2 more years it will have a HD-DvD drive built in and a 200gb harddrive to come with it for $400 and a 45nm chipset (thus making the console smaller probably)
i duno what this all leads too, but im sure it will help anyone who is trying to decide between a 360 and a PS3... do you want 1080p in all your games, or do you want 1080p in some of your games?
