poor barret....what's wrong with them?!
you know i just realized...the survivors of corel town unfairly blame barret because of the desctruction of their town...but is it really his fault? as i see it, all of them agreed with shin-ra building a reactor there, but how come barret's taking all the fault? whaaat's wrong with ppl?
i was wondering if you had ever thought about it....or to make you think about it and share your thoughts on it XD so? what do you think?

You know, when I read it just now, I don't think it's fair - but I'm quite sure there's an in-game explanation for them to blame Barret. It's just been too long since I played the game, for me to remember anything about that... 
Barret has my deepest sympathy ^^

It's been a while since I last played FF7, but from what I gathered, Barret and the other guy with a gun arm (Dyne?) was resisting the Shinra fighting to stop the reactor. They got overwhelmed and when Dyne fell, Barret didn't manage to pull him up. Barret felt that the town hating him for the reactor being built was enough punishment for what he was feeling guilty about.
I'm not sure, but I believe that Barret was the only one who knew about the possibility of the reactor exploding and he merely fled to Midgar and not warn the rest of the townspeople first.

who picked "wtf tsuki" XD
and that's not correct, dyne was the ONLY one against shinra building a reactor in corel, EVERYONE else said it was ok, and barret and dyne were working when the reactor exploded, barret reveals later in the game that he went back to the city, he didn't run...so that's not it
...so perhaps it's just barret blaming himself for dyne's supposed death? but whyyy do the ppl blame him as well? *ssholes ¬_¬
