I didnt know people went to them to know the words of the song, i thought it was supposed to be explained through the acting and emotion of the music as opposed tot eh actual words

Ive heard about your grand theatres over there arcy, thesbian city.
Take us back to shakespearean times, and they acted on a 360 degree stage, no subs, with a basic group of hooligans and prostitutes standing in the front, and the upper class got balconied viewing seats (they stages were mostly outside). How things have changed now huh? Now It's top dollar to be in the front row, and they push the derro's to the back.
la boheme is what Rent is based off of... except it's a lot different. XD
and 360 stages are "Theater in the round", fyi....
and if you want REAL old theater, i think you're more up for post restoration theater. the rich people get picked on, they sell oranges in the aisles, and you get to see live sex on stage.
