Playstation emulator

Hey everyone, how goes it? I have been thinking about trying to download a PS1 emulator and they say that the epsxe is the best but I new to PS emu scene, I have the SNES and Gameboys ones down (computer problem they are hella easier ) but alas, the PS ones just are beyond me it seems , I have trouble with the bios and isos cursing , unsure where to find them for download and to get them working. Any info or places that you could redirect me to to find said info would be groovy~! Very Happy Just would be nice to play Lunar and Breath of fire etc until I get the money to get em from ebay and such ya know? Love peace and chicken grease guys and thanks~!

Google up emuparadise, and go to the Emulators section. Choose your emulator console, then platform, then I would suggest downloading the epsxe together with bios and plugins. The latest would be epsxe 1.7.0, and there are some new plugins (video & audio) you can download separately...depending on what game you wanna play.

Either way, epsxe 1.7.0 support most of the games. Smile

Once you got your emulator, do these steps:
1. Enter your epsxe folder>Bios>make sure you have at least one of these (DTLH3000, DTLH3002, SCPH101, SCPH1001, SCPH5000, SCPH5500, SCPH5502, SCPH7000, SCPH7001, SCPH7003, SCPH7502)

2. Enter your epsxe folder>Plugins>I would recommend you to have these:
gpuPeopsSoft.dll
gpuKazSoft.dll
gpuPeteD3D.dll
gpuPeteDX6D3D.dll
gpuPeteOpenGL.dll
gpuPeteOpenGL2.dll

[Audio Plugin]
spuEternal.dll
spuEternalL.dll
spuPeopsDSound.dll

[CD-ROM Plugin]
ePSXe CDR ASPI core 1.7.0
ePSXe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.7.0

* Of course you can have as many plugins as you like, the ones above are most common.

2. Run the ePSXe.exe

3. You might be asked to enter Config Wizard if its the first time setup, anyway the go to Config>Wizard Guide

4. Select your BIOS> scph1001 - USA> Next

5. Select your video plugin> Try Peops SoftDriver 1.18 > Select Config

6. The video setup menu will pop-up, so you need to tune the emulator to suit your machine at maximum capability. Few things you need to do here:
- Select device > Choose your machine graphic card
- Tick on FullScreen Mode > 32 bit
- Tick on Use FPS Limit & Auto-detect FPS/Frame skipping limit
- Either way, if your machine has a good graphic card - You can select Nice below for auto settings. Choose Fast if your graphic card sucks (you don't want your game to be laggy)

7. Next > Choose your Audio Plugin > Just try the default ePSXe SPU Core 1.7.0 > Next

8. Choose your CD-ROM plugin (this plugin is for the emulator to detect your PS1 disc)
* Just choose whatever if you're going to download the ISO XD

9. Next > Setep your controller > Select Controller 1 > Set the Keys you prefer > OK

10. Done with seteup, now to run your game

11. Select Run > Iso > choose the game that you have .iso , .bin, .ccd or .img. You can download em' from emuparadise as well, under ROMS,ISO section.

12. Enjoy your game. Smile

Haha no prob, its still fresh in my mind cause I recently played FF7 using emulator...

I got frustrated with epsxe 1.6.0 (alot of prob playing xenogears, ff7, valkyrie profile) but epsxe 1.7 solved it all. Smile
