But, we can jump to the conclusion that is the best explanation given the evidence and data around us.

Why do people sit about asking how we can prove things exist. Why wouldn't they exist? Ignoring the fact that i could kill myself with any given object near me and you can't really be killed by something that doesn't exist. So these things must exist otherwise how could they kill me?
It just seems to me like a lot of people trying to sound big and clever by screwing with people's heads.

well id say the point isnt to find out whats "real", but to figure out what matters. And using logic, if something doesnt exist, it shouldnt really matter.
But more specifically, the brain is a crazy thing. everything we see, smell, touch, taste is all perceived by our brain. its not a direct path from object to understanding. And being as we are all unique to some degree, who can know if what you perceive is what others perceive. We can't know. And then you can get into feelings. The idea of a feeling being described as a chemical reaction in the brain... well it should be more than that but it isnt. So all out feelings are objective too.
regardless, i do agree with your general point, which I believe to be it is much better to live and experience, be it real or not to you or others, than to debate on that reality. Ignorance is bliss for most of us.

I myself am not religious in any way. I am a firm believer of science but I did enjoy when we did a study unit on philosophy in class my junior and senior years. The idea of it interests me greatly but other than that, I don't follow it much.
