heres a thought, how can someone be excluded for being different when in reality we are all different, so wouldn't excluding someone different and excepting someone different contridict iteslf, divide itself between its self, i leave you with this though, the mind that can stand as one is the one that either excepts or denies the differentces of all other people

yes everyone is different, just like everyone else. the fact that everyone is different gives us all a common bond.
why it happens is simple human nature. we fear what we do not know. anyone that is too different (aka out of the social norms) is put aside. they can either prove themseves or they can fall like so many have. they are called deviants. deviant is not a negative word by definition but is always taken that way. we need people in society to deviate from the norms in order to show that the norms are effective or that the norms should but widened and open up a little bit. we have to exclude ppl to grow as a society. its a tricky world we live in.
p.s. im ridiculously happy this got bummped without me having to do it. ^-^

That, I think, is a paradox.

Since this is a Final Fantasy site then let raise the question what is Fantasy?
What people commonly believe to be fantasy are things they do not believe, but they wish that their fantasies would exist. Let's visualize the time let say 100 years ago. When you claim that in the future there will be vehicles that hover on nothing but air, they would say that it is only fantasy
Let's come back to the current time, we all see in games magic being cast and monsters roaming the countryside. Let's say now that someone comes up to you and tells you that these things will exist in the future. You'd think the same as the person before you, 100 years before.
Yet it can become possible, that the world will have "monsters" in the future and "magic" is a possibility (although not believed in by almost anyone)
There are also laws of physics that say that "there is no such thing as an infinite power source" and "also you can't create something out of nothing" (so making a fireball out of thin air is "impossible" because no one believes it can be made) Yet there is a paradoxical effect in nature that generates something out of nothing: It is called gravity. It is a force that cannot be depleted in any way but yet it has the power to keep planets together. Also gravity holds everyone and everything on earth, forever, no matter how much you jump up, you will never deplete the gravity of earth. So it is an infinite source of power (which no one has learned to use, because they do not believe it can be done) Let's say now that in the future people will learn to harness the infinite power of gravity... it can be used then as something infinite and which will then make the "laws" of physics obsolete... Imagine using the power of gravity to create a sphere of power and hurling it against your foes. It does not seem impossible because you are making it out of something... And then it would not be a fantasy anymore, making you, who thought that "magic" is only fantasy.
Now about them monsters as well: The military is considering about genetically modifying soldiers to make them more efficient (that is possible, with the technology available to them today) Now there are always anti-government movements who'd do anything to overthrow them, and they start doing genetic advancements as well, but not on humans (as for humans are the ones anti-government people usually protect) They then create genetically modified beasts and let them loose on government property to show the "evil" government who's better. And some escape (anti-g movement think that one or two of them can't be a threat anyway so they leave them to roam the countryside). Then after various beasts have been released to the third world war begins and most of the world's population will be destroyed by the nukes that everyone is going to fire... Now you might think about the monsters... they would surely be destroyed as well, but no they won't because of genetic modifications they are able to withstand the radioactivity (as well the human survivors have been assisted by genetics to be able to withstand radioactivity)
Now most of the military of the world has been destroyed by the battles and only a handful of people have survived there will be nuclear winter (it is kind of like another ice age which will pass in time) Couple of centuries later there will still be humans left and monsters left. The land is now deformed by the masses of ice that have swept across the land (and buried all of the previous cities and reduced them to rubble)
The monsters have bred and now inhabit the lands (also become even more resilient than before due to the harsh climate) Humans who have survived carry on the technology that allows harnessing the power of gravity allowing them to use "magic"
That sounds like the world in any of the final fantasy games...

Actually I find it funny that no one is even doing research on gravity anymore, it holds immense power within and it is infinite. Although it is a weak force considering the size of earth and that even a small magnet can pick up a piece of metal from the entire gravitational pull of the earth, it can be focused and it will never be depleted
Hell, I even read a book about gravity once, the scientists who wrote it said that technology is not nearly advanced enough to even try focusing the power of gravity, although harnessing it to generate power is possible within the near future (although it is highly inefficient and building a power plant using that technology would cost more than the power that the plant produces in 400 years

truth be told, subatomic forces are far strong than gravity, like the electromagnetic field that holds atoms together. gravity is the weakest of all forces im pretty sure.
another lil tid-bit, no matter what you can never touch anything. ever. that electromagnetic feild stops you. even while standing or sitting or whatever there is a thin (and i do mean thin) space between you and whatever the object is. if we could use that power how we wanted... well... im sure some mad scientists are working on it right now.

Actually you can touch and you touch something all the time. The electrons that orbit the atom's centre. There is no force that won't allow you to touch things, you merely touch the electrons (which move so fast they seem to make a "shield" (which might seem like some kind of force) around the atom's centre.
The forces that hold the atoms toghether have been used in several places by evil forces [like the USA used such powers on Hiroshima]. By firing a neutron into the atom (which wont be stopped by the negatively charged electron "layers" theat surround the atom, since the neutron has a neutral charge [wont be attracted towards or repelled from other charged particles]) the atom that is being fired upon will be blasted into protons, neutrons and electrons which will then collide with other atoms and so on. The blast will be very powerful due to the fact that the sub-atomic forces (which are very strong) will be pulling the netrons and protons away from each other. An atomic bomb has a unstable material (like uranium or plutonium) as the explosive and at some point it will be blasted with neutrons making a big boom and destroying all in its path... And that is the basics of understanding how a nuclear bomb works...
Don't think that it's philosophy anymore, rather than nuclear physics, but who cares...
Oh and the mad scientists you were talking about... they're names are A.Einstein, Robert Oppenheimer, David Bohm, Leo Szilard, Eugene Wigner, Otto Frisch, Rudolf Peierls, Felix Bloch, Niels Bohr, Emilio Segre, James *, Enrico Fermi, Klaus Fuchs and Edward Teller.
Check a more detailed view about nuclear physics at http://inventors.about.com/library/weekly/aa050300a.htm
An interesting fact: A single Uranium (U-235) atom can realease from 100 million to several hundered million volts of power. This was unknown to the people that made "Little Boy" and "Fat Man" and those bombs only utilized 1/10 of 1 percent of the full destructive power, they could have released. Meaning if those would have been used at full power... bye bye Japan...

Hmm where to start. Okay well lets start with the typical and obvious philisophical question that everyone asks at some point in their lives.
"Why am I Here."
