Pheonix downs....
Ok, so I just got FF3. I'm at the bit where you go into the Denjii cave or something. But one of my characters is dead, and theres no pheonix downs anywhere.

Yep, Downs are in short supply in FF3. Only thing I can suggest is to leave the cave, heal, and go back and train at the cave.
