I've beaten it, never mind seen it. For Dark Bahamut, he counters every fifth attack with impulse. So each time its going to come up, summon to take that hit. Stats should be close to maxed out (barring HP,MP and Luck).

Penance is a freakin' pain in the "ance".
He has close (not sure) to 12 million HP. It's body and arms absorb all ailments and elements. It's quite a hard * to do.
I hope you have Auto-Phoenix, Auto-Haste, Auto-Shell, Auto-Protect, Auto-Med, the Breaks and at least a Ribbon for Tidus.

Haha, the name is Yojimbo (I named him Susano-o), the Overdrive is Zanmato.
Haha, "owned" indeed there buddy, but to be quite honest, beating the Mega-Bosses with Zanmato is quite well... bad.
Penance is there for players who want to challenge themselves as Final Fantasy Masters. If you can't beat Penance OR the Dark Aeons without the Zanmato you are clearly not prepared for such high-leveled battles.
I would reccomend a huge dose of grinding, mix a lot of pacience at will and a little sprinkle of determination and "go-getter" attitude. That's the only way to truly overcome those obstacles we refer to as "The Dark Aeons", and Penance itself. Although I admire your courage to jump into a fight with the Dark Aeons with the sole purpose of surviving up to summoning Yojimbo and performing the Zanmato, that strategy is very disliked and usually related to players who greatly lack the skill to beat the Mega-Bosses.

All you need to beat Penance (armour wise) is Auto-Haste, Auto-Protect, and Defence +20%
