no penance is a combination of the dark aeons ... sort of ... he ISNOT the monster in the batte arna ... that is nemesis ... far easier than pendance ... and also i have beaten pendance

I'm sure I read in the guide that he only appears after Nemesis AND the dark Aeons are all vanquished.

He only appears after you beat all the Dark Aeons. I beat penance before I even unlocked Nemesis.
