I didnīt really enjoy the one with Firion; in fact, I didnīt like its battle system and storyline... If you arenīt cautious, and accidentally save near Mysidia early in the game... Thatīs not the best thing that can happen to you; and it happened to me <.<

Well if you lokok at ho the games are done the stroylines dont become credible until Final fantasy 4 and the characters arent developed very well either. Im playing the one with firion at the moment and you can tell where the problem is. Ive had 2 completly badass characters leave my party now couldnt give a crap cause there quickly replaced and you wouldnt notice the difference between them or a magic 8 ball with well timed phrases

Will people please use first stops?! It's hard to notice when one sentence stops and another begins!
Personally, I prefer FF IV. It's more obvious where you're meant to be heading for a start. The storyline's also improved from II. Just one thing, where did you get the names? I've got that game and it doesn't give you any names at the start. You have to give them names.

In the original ff2 that has ben released on the psp recently the characters names are firion, maria, guy and Leon. I think you can name them at the beggining but that is their default names. Are you sure your not getting it mixed up with ff1 where the you decide their jobs and names at the beginng and the characters have absolutely no individuality.
(How do like those full stops)

I'm talking about the original FF II. Big difference here is that the one I'm talking about is on NES, not PSP. In the original NES version they have no default names.
(A lot better.)

Pretty much. By the way, I went into GAME today and there's no FF II on PSP in there. Are you sure you didn't mean the version on GBA?

It must have been taken off the shelves for being too old then. Even if they had sold out they'd still have the display boxes up. Odd that there's not a single copy in the pre-owned section as well.

I actually have to say the other FFII is better. The FFII which is actually FFIV (just as III is VI) is pretty much an exact copy of FFV, minus the class changing. The story...bah, I only see three or four parts even worth noting.
Plus this FFII has flexible character development, not levels and set growths. You could make Guy a Black Mage, Maria a Knight, and Firion a Ranger for all we know! I also like the spell system better. Instead of just buying four different levels of spells (normal, -a, -aga, -aja), leveling them up by use...cool!
Yeah, the storyline's a bit bland (at least up to where I am, which is maybe 15% of the way through), but it has its funny bits here and there. "Guy speak beaver" =P
And yes, it is for PSP as well, the game goes by the title of Final Fantasy 1 + 2: Dawn of Souls. It contains both FFI and FFII, but with four bonus (randomized) dungeons for FFI, kind of like Lufia 2 (SNES) and the Ancient Cave. FFII gets Soul of Rebirth, which gives you the other half of the FFII story from the perspective of those who died during the main game.

FF IV's not an exact copy of V.
A. It would be the other way round since IV came first.
B. The only similarities are the sprites (they're not really all that similar either) and the fact that the main plot revolves around crystals. They're two completely different games and if you think otherwise then you may as well say that VI is also a copy of V.
In the original FF II (NES) the storyline's extremely bland and none of the character's have names. You can't level up spells either.
There is a PSP version (in America and Japan) but you gave it the name of the GBA remake of I and II. I'm also completely aware of what the differences in the GBA remake are since I already knew of it's existence (hence my suggestion that Darths might have meant the GBA version) and own it.

Aren't the majority of the first Final Fantasies centered around crystals in some way I mean the first, third, fourth, and fifth ones all had crystals in them but its also been awhile since I played the fifth one (Haven't played since my copy of the Anthology got stolen) so I don't remember what the role of the crystals is I just remember something about a meteor and a dragon...and my sister and I arguing about whether or not Faris was a chick.

For all those men who say "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free". Here's an update for you 80% of women are against marriage, why? Because women realize its not worth buying an entire pig, just to get a little sausage...and if you're among those 80% add this to your sig. |

Faris is female. You find that out in the Ship Graveyard. Most of the ones before V, including V, have crystals in.

That's what I said but my sister didn't agree she actually thought Faris was a guy my sister isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.
