online dating

came across that site today and brought up some thoughts.
i know the idea of online dating or finding ppl is meant with the best intentions, but is it really the right way to go about finding someone? its going to further make people rely on the internet to have a social life which will eventually and ironicaly ruin society. (<- opinion of course)
also, the idea of having someone like Dr. Phil to back you up and help you get the word out... bad idea. im sure a lot of ppl watch him on tv and follow his books and so on, and have faith in him. i just think hes promoting things the wrong way. finding someone that you can care about and love should be an intimate experience... and thats what the internet prvents.

online dating i find odd as its like blind dating. but your almost guaranteed your going to be going out with a computer nerd.

my teacher told me once there was this guy who hooked up with someone through online dating and when they went to meet, he was actually dating his daughter. online dating isnt that bad, but im assuming about 90% of these online couples break up faster. and dr phil isnt THAT bad lol come on

well hears a good story for ya! im getting married next fall or around there and well..... i met my girl friend on AIM.... lol yep one day out of the blue she IM's me, saies she likes my profile and wanted to chat. chating beacme phone tag wich beacame lets meet up. we met up after 3 munths of talking and fell in love soon after. Ive ben with her for about a year and a half now and couldnt be happier. I think in the right situations on line dateing can opean doors to shy people who can type better then talking, but its many pit cons almost if not out way its pros

yea, recently about 7 months ago, there was this old dude that pretended to be a teenage boy on the net, He somehow convinced her to fly over to his state and kinda almost got what he wanted but her parents found out she was missing.

Your right, when talking, im like all quiet even around my closest friends, they even say im a totally different person on the net.
