Olympics!
Less than a week now till we all stop and watch 8 dru...fit people run for 10 seconds etc.
I love the Olympics, especially cheering on the smaller countries like Togo or South georgia and the south sandwich islands ^^ and of course my own country.
So is anyone here going to watch it this year? Or is anyone going to Beijing? Or does anyone even care?

I always enjoy the weight lifting competitions, diving, and the one were the people swing on the rings (that takes an unbelievable amount of talent)
heh, as for who i'm rooting for, i always pick Jamaica. ever since i saw cool running, lol

My favourite event would probably be the 4 x 100 relay running. I like how they pass the baton, or in some cases don't lol.

also, the rings thing. cool story. there was an article in the paper here like a year ago. this kid was born with a problem where he would have pretty much no body fat. this isnt so bad becuase it was a boy and all. so down the road he would pretty much be all muscle. of course he had to eat more but that was the only real problem. he will probably be a body builder when hes like 14. anyway. at 1 month old his mother would hold his arms up to try and help him walk (which he learned to do early on) and while his mom held his hands he pulled himself up into the iron cross position much like they do on those rings in the olympics. at 1 month old! freaking crazy.
