Final Fantasy VII Advent Children PS3 and Blu-Ray Details
There's a lot more to Advent Children Complete than just the FFXIII demo.

In addition to the news from earlier today about Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete's Blu-ray release date in Japan, we now have some further info on the movie and the special edition FFVII AC PS3.
First off, FFVII Advent Children has been completely reedited for the Complete version and actually contains over 30 minutes of new footage. It will also feature an all-new hand drawn anime short. As mentioned earlier, the Blu-ray hits April 16 and will cost 4,900 yen (about $54 USD) without the Final Fantasy XIII demo; with the demo it's 5,900 yen ($65 USD).[/b] (Considering the demo is said to last about two hours, that's not such a bad deal).
As for the special edition Final Fantasy Advent Children PS3, it'll be the first 160GB PS3 released in Japan and the "Cloud Black" color is a silvery matte black, different from the standard Piano Black. It'll cost 49,980 yen (about $550 USD) and will come with Advent Children and the FFXIII demo.
Also, regarding the FFXIII demo disc, it too will have extra bonus content in the form of all-new Versus and Agito trailers. Here's hoping those trailers might show some actual gameplay footage -- as cool as the last Versus trailer was, it'd be great to see the game now.
im sure there will be some good deals a month or so afterwards so ill pick it up then.
I think the Blu Ray cover looks really good but im not so sure about the console. It also seems quite pricey to me particuarly the Blu Ray on it's own. Will be very interesting to see if the PS3's sales in Japan improve because of the bundle.
edit - Should also add to this thread a PS3 exclusive that no one ever talks about, Valkyria Chronicles. I started playing it yesterday and its really good. I like the battle system in it and the cell shaded graphics looking like every frames been individually drawn and then coloured in with crayon. There is not a bad review for the game but for some reason the game has never charted once in the sales charts. Such a shame really as so much efforts gone into the game. There is also a PSN demo of it as well.
yeah i think i mentioned Valkyria Chronicles when i played the demo. i knew it was going to get shoved aside because it came out the same time around fallout 3, left 4 dead, mirrors edge, maybe dead space too. so everyone went to get those games because it seemed like a sure pick.
my impressions of the demo were good overall, but in the end it wasnt engaging enough for me to even think about buy it at full price. its art style is fantastic and im sure it goes really deep with some kind of customization that wasnt really in the demo. seemed to easy as well, but im sure that was on purpose.
Trouble is the demo doesen't do the game justice. Its much better to play the full game from the start as its easier to learn all of the controls and the story ahead, whereas the demo almost randomly just put players into it.
I can't say I had to get the game full price either as shops here lowered it immediatly and I did only get the game due to word of mouth on internet forums and also using reviews. Thing is I know there were lots of other games out last year but in a lot of cases even if they wernt there im not sure the game would have sold more. For a lot of gamers unfortunatly it does seem if its not a FPS the game will go ignored. Just the way it is.
That may just be because you are the head of the Funender Garden, and I played 2 professor characters, so you seem like my boss now permanently in my mind. XD
at some point today they are putting the resident evil 5 demo on psn to download. its probably going to be a huge download as well so be prepared.
pretty excited right here!
update: it is in the store now and its only 900 somethings megs. far better than i thought it would be. downloading it now while i leave the house for a bit. w00t w00t!
I downloaded it last night. Can't say im as excited as I was for Resident Evil 5 anymore. My major complaint is how annoying it is to change weapons and ammo and they have to be done during the actual gameplay so I end up getting killed trying to do it. All the other Resident Evils as far as I remember let you pause the game to change weapon. It was also annoying how the woman thats with you on the game keeps dieing.
Overall though im sure the games still good but a few things just annoyed me in the demo.
well... yeah i am frustrated. the fact that you cant move and shoot at the same time bugs me and yeah the equiping of weapons and the such is dumb. even if the game pused when you opened the item menu. that would solve it all. but i am excited about the co-op campaign. i havent tried with the demo yet, but it seems like it could be fantastical fun. and i was surprised by the terrible zombie ai (as usual) and the good ai of the chick. she was never more than two steps away and always got out of my way if i was trying to shoot around her. i dont think she took any ammo either.
a plus to the game, theres some crazy tention now with the item screen. much like real life, you cant pause if you run out of ammo and switch to a new weapon so in that respect i get it (if thats what they were going for). when i finished the demo (taking out chainsaw guy took a crazy ammount of dmg/ammo) we were both out of ammo completely (besides my last 3 rifle bullets) and both in the deep red health wise. and all i could think was "man... whatever is beyond this point in the game is going to own me" lol
Trouble for me was I had no ammo left when the chainsaw guy appeared and there was no more to pick up. Id already used all my ammo protecting the girl when she's jumped over the other side of the gap.
yeah well... you can get by on limited ammo use but you have to draw him near the red barrels and bust them all up in his grill as it were. like all of them lol.
anyway, anyone pick up savage moon? pretty much the hardest tower defence game ive ever played.
so i update thorlords tag and his games that he ordered.
also, i got around to making a euro psn tag to get the killzone demo early (lol) of course kz2 has been out since friday but still. thought id mention that making a euro account is pretty easy. all youll need is a real street address (go to google and just pick a bar in denmark or soemthing lol).
also, i totally randomly picked up the nhl 09 demo and though im in no way a fan of hokey at all, its super fun. so when i get around to it, im probably gonna pick the full game up. i recommend it for any general sports fan, even if youve never watched a hockey game in your life.
