To increase the chance of Odin showing up, just increase LUK status for your characters, if you can't afford to increase all three of them, increasing one of them will do.
Also, in contrast, decreasing your LUK status will also reduce Odin showing up during battle.

I found that trying to escape right at the start of the battle often causes him to show up... Great on the islands closest to heaven/hell!

sometimes he's really annoying....specially when i want to steal items for customizing equipment...*monster finally showed up after 30 minutes of running around then odin appear and kill it ...lost the chance to steal and get the item needed* Curse you odin......

Yes, in fact, Odinīs there...
You just have to do some things in there, too long to explain, itīs not really hard, the hardest part is getting to him, then, just cast Meltdown, draw some Triples, and crush him the way you like, he doesnīt attack (unless timer gets to 0, that is GAME OVER...)
