No Longer Separate (Story, Character apps and discussion)
ok... idk how many of you know this about me already... but I like to RP >_> so I figured since I am here... I would try to make and RP ^_^; tho we will be at a huge dissadvantage since I see no dice roller >_> <_< aaaaaaanywaaaaay here goes ^_^;
STORY: There has always been a barrior between what humans called the Spiritul realm and the mortal realm. However an extreamest group within the catholic shurch saught to pass through this barrior in order to obtain the afterlife without leaveing behind their physical bodys. This was orrigionally for a spiritual purpose, to be able bring back stories and proof of the existance of the after life. and so it was created, the heaven's gate. however they could do nothing to open it... it was soon determined that any gate to the afterlife would have to open the gate to hell also... the project was put on hold... but eventually... a group of young ambitious monks revived the project secretly and created what is now known as the Celestial Portal! They waited untill the perfect alingnment of planets in the year 2012 and they used the energy to open the portal... but what they found on the other side was far from fluffy clouds with harp players on them... they were immediately captured by great angels in burning white armor, they barely got a glimpse of the immense battle field which lie before them... the angels faught desperately to keep the forces of hell from traveling into the realm of earth, but they all converged on the spot, the portal was destroyed and all of heaven and hell were released onto earth! The battle raged and took the earth by storm. humans were nearly wiped from existance in the ensueing battle, but there were a few who took their familys and hid in top secrect army bases or in underground caves and there, were able to survive. Angels and Demons quickly learned not to kill humans, Their spirit energy is what drives them gives the celestial beings their power! Once Demons learned this, their leader known as Bealz ordered the capture of all humans, they seek to steal the human souls and absorb their power all at once. The Angels would prefere the willing offering of their soul strength through ritual and prayer, and so the three races started to coexist in this uneasy balence. Now 200 years latter, this tale has been lost, and angels and demons have become a normal part of human life. some have chosen to obey these higher beings, and some have inherited a deep hatred for them, passed down by their ansestors who remember the slaughter. will you try to coexist? or will you throw down the Angels? Obliterate the Demons? or crush the last of the last of the human race?

CHARACTERS:
ANGELS: The angels motive is conservation and preservation, the true motives are known only to the high council of angels, but their main objective is to supress the demons with as little human casualties as possible. they try to recruit humans to serve them in order to obtain their spirit energy. Characteristics commun to all angels are resist corruption (poisen), flameing wings and swords, and healing ability.
fighter: this is the basic angel unit, equipped with a sword and full armor the average angel stands about the same height as a normal human. they are exceedingly powerful and lightning fast, however upon entering this world they find themselves bound by the same physical laws as humans and have had to adapt. They are the easiest to blend in with humans and are usually on the front lines. they can hold their own and they have the most freedom in how they want to accomplish their mission.
messanger: the messanger has a duel purpose. they have the ability to seemingly just appear anywere they are needed. they are the most effective in the conversion of humans since they are the most litterate in the human language. However they are not particularly strong, so usually they are also sent out to be assasins, these angels keep to the sidelines and watch untill they are told to act, and if you see one in the corner of your eye, you had better watch your step, even the greatest of warriors can fall to a well placed blade...
Charabim: these legendary creatures are the Titans of the Angelic army. standing about 12ft tall on average the wield a sword the sice of a small truck. their wings were designed to hold back the winds at the four corners of the earth and can be a very tactical weapon in battle. However these are not their only means of attack. When necessary, a Charabim has a beast form )usually a great bear, lion, or eagle) which they can use to attack with brute strength. these powerful Titans are not usually seen in the front lines, but if they are in your area, you can guess that theres something big going on. these hulking warriors however are also able to take human form, so be careful who you attack...
Saraphim: These powerful warriors are so wrapped in mystery even the council barely knows much about them. They are the elite guard of heaven and by far the most powerful warriors, just a glimpse of them on the battle feild and the enemy moans with impending doom. their usual weapon of choice is an enchanted lance which channels their energy. These warriors of justice were dispatched when the seal was broken and are utterly uncontrolled by the council or any other. These warriors are not to be contended with... all you can do is pray that you are on the right side...

DEMONS: The demons are bent on destruction... they want to destroy everything that has been created and take over heaven and make it their new home. they prefere to have the humans sacrifice themselves on cruel alters and take their soul power all at once rather than over time, the only dissadvantage is that when its spent, it cannot replenish itself the way the angel's sources can, however it gies them greater strength faster. Commun characteristics to all Demons Poisen mind (causes betrayal or insanity, Razor sharp wings with the strength of steel, and pestilence (causes sickness)
Minion: the basic figther of the demon forces, they do not look like little red devils with pitch forks, they are very vampyric in appearance actually, which is one of the ways demons tend to recruit. "like honey to flies" they say. They choose a curved scimitar as their main weapon usually and light armor. they would prefere to send a meat shield to do their dirty work then actually have to do any fighting themselves.
Deciever: this is a fallen Messenger, he uses his abilitys to poisen the minds of simple humans and cause them to turn to evil desires. these cowards are usually the kind that go for the hit and run tactics, they are never in the same place for too long unless they find a really good hideing place (usually by possesing a human)
Nephilliam: These enormous warriors are fallen Charabs, useing giant curved swords they are a threat to any small force, if one of these were actually awoken to fight, watch your back, theres about to be a huge battle somewhere. These lumbering beasts are usually a little stronger than a Charab, however they have lost the ability to use their beast form, they are more prone to change into a giant firey form of themselves (mush like the Belrog on LOTR)
False gods: these great beasts are Demons who have grown so powerful they even rival that of the Saraphs (no Saraphim ever fell) They choose names for themselves such as Baal and Eris... These great demigods once ruled the world with their fear... now that the seal has once again been broken, these powerful beings have risen again and are slowly produceing a gathering. Their power is nearly unrivaled and sometimes even scare their powerful leader Bealz

HUMANS the humans are divided as always... there are the Black Hands which support and worship the demons, the White Knights who support and worship the anges, and the Mercs who are for humans only and seek to throw down anything non-human. Lastly are the most contested beings on the planet... the nons... they are nearly oblivious to everything... they locked themselves away and repressed what has happened for so long that they con no longer see Angels or Demons... they are constantly tried to be recruited.
The Black hands: these guys are one step from being demons themselves, they will do anything to further themselves even if it means selling out their own family, they have a hierarchy of priests and members, their society is totally secret and they are often used by the demons to infiltrate enemy groups. often they are made into sleeper agents and will live as your neighbor for years, you wont suspect a thing until he's breaking down your door and slaughtering your family in front of you. as a result, demons have blessed them with demonic powers and demonic blades.
The White Knights: This less secretive group is still very secure, they can spot a non member a mile away and stop him from breaking into a meeting. Their purpose is to "save" as many humans as possible and conscript them into service to the angels. The angels have blessed them with strength, some with healing power, and all of them with celestial swords. they are the defender of the weak and the arm of justice.
The Mercs: The Mercs are for Humans alone! They use the old technology of guns and machines of war, at first they were left alone, thinking that they would fizzle out all by themselves, however this didn't happen, their canabalized and customized weapons tended to work better than anticipated, and their tactics became more and more advanced as their following grew. They seem to be lead by a single master tactition who through his leadership their weapons became more powerful and more advanced, they even have a few Mech Vessals and have been able to capture a few strongholds on earth. Still the minority they have strong spirits.
the Nons and ofcourse you need your normal people... the ones who just work day to day and ignore the world and wars arround them... attending school, and going to work like normal as if nothing ever happened, supriseingly this makes up the mass ammount of the human population... however, they are carefully watched since they could turn into anything at any moment without warning and suddenly become a threat or a valuable ally.

History: (more will be revealed latter in the story) she was born and raised in Oklahoma inside a massive underground Military base... they claimed it was a shoe factory before the war broke out, but the local people had their suspissions... when the war came, her great great grandparents fled to this "shoe factory" and quickly set up a command (the tenants had ALL been sent to battle) many of the other people from the town arrived too and quickly joined the ranks. From then on they were "the Shield" several years latter they were descovered by the demons and were about to be obliterated when a masked man who called himself "Revnant" appeared on the communications scren and claimed he could make a mirical happen... with nowhere left to turn her ansestors gave him command and he was able to lead them to victory, he assumed command by overwhealming vote and they became the Mercs. This is the world Alessa grew up in, she was trained to hold a knife as soon as she learned to walk. She had been rigorously trained and desensitized by tales of demons and angels, and of conquest. she rose in the ranks as a prodegy and an extreamly skilled fighter. she was offered a position as the first Mech pilot but she turned it down saying "its in bad taste to kill an enemy whoes eyes you have not seen" and she chose to keep her place on the front lines. Now she is a secret operative. by day she is a student at the local high school, by night she is a soldier.

History:
Angel children are very rare and the Host of Heaven were greatly anticipateing Pina's birth, however in that great battle her parents were lost in the confusion. They took human forms and hid with Alessa's family in the military base. Her father died in battle and her mother died in child birth and of a broken heart. Then The angelic council found her. They took you to heaven at first, still not knowing whose child she was. But then after 100 years of begging to be returned they decided that she would be useful where she was as an undercover agent. They never found out that she was the child that had gone missing and assume that that Saraphim child had died. Neither she nor the council know that Pina isn't the warrior angel that they think she is, and that her immature wings that cannot fly are not due to young age but rather that they are secondary wings, the primary have not come in yet. Currently she goes to the same school as Alessa, having returned to the same area claiming, and not entirely falsly, to be a decendant of one who hid in that military base 200 years ago.

History: Orphaned at an early age Alex's parents were killed in battle when the demons launched an assault on a Merc Base, slaughtered his family and left him unconscious in the ruins of his former home. He woke up in a clinic miles from anywhere and was taken by the black hand and trained as an assassin. They mentally conditioned him to have little to no emotion, trained him to kill indescriminately and without mercy. In 10 years he has been responsible for the deaths of hundreds. His only friend, his modified rifle (a deadly weapon before he got his hands on it), capable of putting a hole between the eyes of a victim from 900 yards away Alex is a well respected sharpshooter and someone few want to trifle with.

I like your character Ryu, just a couple things... he sounds more like he would fit with the Black Hand (since he has a demon form- and if there is more to this I need to know) also his weapons will be altered a little (since this is actually in the future, plus weapons had to be adapted to be able to be effective against the strength of these once celestial beings, makeing them more powerful so I doubt you will have a problem with that lol) but seriously get back to me on that... (also with his theme song, kick ass btw, he just sounds like he would be a Black hand agent... he wouldn't be one of the low ranking sacrificial fodder ones either so don't worry 
(you reeeeeeally should have waited before posting in the story ^_^;

the way i figured it he starts out as a regular merc and changes later on in the story. you know like the old friend who turns evil. maybe he gets scouted and turned by the black hand at some point i dont know but thats was what i had in mind. i can change it if you want =)
with the weapons the dragunov sniper rifle is pretty damn powerful especially in the hands of a sniper as skilled as Alex is, i see your point with the mac 10 though, it could be like the one in ghost in the shell that fires armour piercing bullets maybe?
sorry i couldnt resist posting in the story i just had that post in my head and i thought it was pretty good...

well you have a good idea, you really do, but both Pina and Alessa are going along those same lines already... I need to try and balence it a little if you wouldn't mind... I have a good story for you where you can meet with our characters if you are willing... just revise your profile... and edit your post so he is reporting in to a Cleric (just say he enters an abandoned werehouse and looks arround or something) and I will take over from there.
as for the weapons... trust me they will have to be modified... you could shoot an angel or a demon in the head with the rifle and have it stand up and still come after you. Each human faction has their own way of customizeing  being part of the Black hand you would be given demon power (which would be unwise to show in certain areas unless it was absolutely needed) in which case your rounds would be streak with Red Lightning and expload on impact... (all of them)

It is a section of the Dark Brotherhood. The four Speakers make up the "fingers" of the black hand, and the Listener makes up the "thumb". They are the highest section of the Dark Brotherhood other than Sithis and the Night Mother themselves.

History:
Even though a demon, Shezu is somehow staying on the neutral side. The war in between has caused him too much trouble, and fighting for his own kin bored him. Even though, now, he seems to be having a connection to one of the angels he knew before, and may be helping the good side. His purposes are still unknown, but Shezu doesn't pity any of the sides. Be it human, or angelic, or even a demonic, whoever stands in his way falls. Now hunting for something at the Earth Realm, Shezu took on a human form and now tries to uncover the truth between true and false, and where this whole thing has started from. But all that sacrifice and the only way to uncover the secrets was to become one human himself. Perhaps, when he will be able to find his weapons, then, the upper hand would take the lead.
