Nintendo Revolution for $99.99?

To be honest I probably still won't get it, unless one day I am really bored or they include Goldeneye on the system (which I am sure they wont, but you never know) One reason why I do not plan to get it is to let them know that their broken promises will no longer work on me.

1. Why are you sure they won't include Goldeneye on the system?
2. Any other sources besides the RSS link that you know of? I'm wondering how the Rev can handle such a price drop like that. Were the default specs changed or is there going to be a "lite" version like the 360?
3. What promises did Nintendo broke to you if you don't mind me asking?

Broken Promises! YES! That's the perfect phrase to use on Nintendo. But I dunno if it was them who made the promises. Videogame mags etc tend to hype up Nintendo stuff to the max so I know they have their promises broken. I.e magazines I read kept hyping up the Gamecube, saying it would "Rock" lol, but it's done nothing for me except take up valuable space. But Nintendo never really promised anything, they showcased what the possibilities are in some cases (most recent cases, like the DS and revolution) and as far as the 64 goes that did live up to the hype imo.
I still won't get the Revolution until I know the games are good.

Agreed, the only game I loved on it was RE4, and the fact they do not offer any online support for 99% of their games is a joke. That is like buying a stereo without volume control

I think the games that will be playable via the download thing will be any game where the developer gives the right to nintendo to use this feature. An Rare are a part of Microsoft now or something.
This is a total guess though.

Realistically since Sony and Xbox do not have a Mario or Zelda, their job is to release as many features and games as possible to make up for it. However Nintendo is still making money by offering less (cheaper for them) and the 20 year old Nintendo titles that everyone buys. So from a business standpoint that is a good move, but from a gamers standpoint that sucks. They figure there is no need to make a system that will outdo M$ or Sony since people will always buy Zelda and Mario.
They may not have outsold the other consoles, but if you calculate how much money they are spending on advertising and their systems which I am sure is far less then Sony or M$, then they are probably doing well enough to continue their consoles. Their key is to promise the best console and games ever, but that never happens.
That is why hopefully by me and others who see the bs will not support them anymore, they may realize their con no longer works and may decide to actually compete with other consoles to provide more then just a Mario remake.

I think I oficially stopped 'supporting' Nintendo when I backed out from buying a DS and got a PSP. lol Best move I ever made.
Also, I think the Revolution will be a big flop in Australia, just like the gamecube was, even though the Rev will probably do really well in Japan. This is because Nintendo is almost non-existent here anymore, they do no advertising at all. Yet on almost every bus I see in the city there is a big PSP ad, and there are tons of PSP ads on tv. Sony also sponsor my fav football team, and all the football umpires have a big Playstation 2 logo on their shirts, lol. On some bus stops there were Halo 2 ads, and Xbox sponsor a footy team as well. Down here it's all Playstation and xbox, hardly any shops have any Nintendo stuff, except for family-friendly department stores, which have a lot of GBA games.
And I can't see many aussies wanting to wave their hands around, lol.

It's true. I'm serious. If you showed that revolution demo video to a bumch of Aussies. They'd go "That looks f***in' retarded mate!" But it might appeal to kids (this really haunts Nintendo, lol)
Though it depends on the person, but most will hate it.
