Nintendo 3DS
i've been happy with my DSlite for years now. i got it the day it came to the US. i enjoy it and play it literally everyday i've owned it.
i had no plans on replacing it until the sequel to the DS came out.
but nintendo showed their hands. The 3DS is significantly more powerful than the DS. Heck, the 3DS has more processing power than the Wii. but its not technically the "DS2" its just the next iteration of the DS.
what this screams to me is that nintendo is taking a hint from PC gaming. or a little more relevant, iPod gaming. Apple has a handheld gaming platform, they refresh it every year with new hardware. it plays the same games, and has perfect backwards compatability. this appears to be the route Nintendo is taking.
so with a significant hardware redesign. support for something better than the annyingly * wireless B that has plagued the DS since launch. i think its time for me to upgrade.

I call it a gimmick on Nintendo's part. I'd rather see a new DS or handheld system rather than some parlor trick such as 3D gaming... It sounds cool and probably is cool for a month then is it just dust collector.

its not a ds like you would think its 100% new looks crazy the games can hold 8 gigs ds is around 100+ mb so big differents

I'm going to wait until it's cheaper. There's not many games out for it at the moment that I'd want to play, so that's the best thing to do.

the batery life seems to be extremely low, so you might wanna wait till they fix that too...
as for games, i must say they had a pretty impressive line-up

I already have Street Fighter IV on the Xbox, so I don't need it on the 3DS. I've never been interested in the Dead or Alive and Metal Gear series so I wouldn't want them either.
The only one you listed that I would want is Resident Evil and I'm not willing to spend anout £200 on a 3DS just for that, especially when I need to try and save money.
