Since Gamescom, there wasn’t really too much interesting news from the FFXIV developer. You’d see an occasional update from Dengeki!
Anyway, lets catch up with some readings about FFXIV.
Real Money Trade in FFX (RMT)
Sage Sundi speaks out about RMT problems
It’s good to know they are in the game of cat-and-mouse. RMT has been a big problem, and it’s still a problem. They’ve tried very hard to eliminate RMT but I think the developer should think about building a game that is not too dependent on gil. Rare/Ex (Bind on Pickup) is definitely a good start, keep up with the 3-D system and just track down people who intends to sell Rare/Ex (BoP) item as RMT, and the game should be much more enjoyable.
Lets hope SE can stay ahead of the game this time around, and not playing catch up!

Another news from playonl.com :-?
I think trading "real" money in game having its good as bad point too.
+ The good point is it can varies the currency in the game, people have many ways to pay or buy some [rare] items.
+ The opposite is gamers can be tricked or deceived by those "RMT". Everything concerns to money makes its more in trouble...

XIII is set for release in early December for Japan now. I doubt they'll be releasing XIV within a year of XIII, so I still say give it two or three years.

... i know this sounds a bit to.. fanboyish.. but i pre ordered 12 from the states and got my ps2 modified just so i could play it.
finished it before it came out here, then kinda regretted spending $100 on the game and $80 to get my ps2 modified.

i normally buy used games (dont see the point of paying 4X the price for somethign im going to use for a few hours and not play again(unless its some games) i dont waste money XD but i got FF brand new the day it came out
only time i did that

I disagree Lord J, I was in a EB games (GameStop in America, don't know the British equivalent) and they had a book of release dates.
FFXIII was suppose to be out in June or July of 2010 (forgot the month) but the weird thing was, release dates for Versus XIII and XIV were schedule (according to this) for before that. It kinda blew my mind, but then I started thinking, Versus is a PS3 only game is it not. XIV is a PS3/Computer game? I could see how Versus could be released before XIII, but the XIV before XIII blew my mind. Every other game I looked at seemed like the release dates fit.
Then again they could just hold the game back.

It was official when they announced 14 that it would come out VERY shortly after 13... no more than 2 months, I believe.
trust me... I have too much free time XD
As for 13, there's really slight hints going around that it may in fact be released in the U.S. 1 to 2 months before June. I'll definitely know by next week though.
And if that happens, I'm sure everyone not in the U.S. could just get a copy on Ebay since the ps3's not region-coded anyway

it keeps gettin g pushed back farther and farther..
But, The most recent rumor that i've heard is that a PAL release is scheduled for march 2010 (XIII)
and October 2010 (XIV)
So yooo yankee doodles will prob get it before then..
