Newfound Laws
One of my friends told me that KY's Gvnr. (Steve Beshear) is going to enforce these laws to congress:
1. No abortions unless rape or incest has taken place.
2. Men(or 'partners') who have impregnated their partner must stay with them and support the child(ren) unless rape or incest has taken place.
3. Any person accused of crime will be remanded(held) in jail or prison until proven innocent.
4. If a person has been proven guilty of murder(any degree), Manslaughter(any degree), Conspiracy to commit(any degree) will have an execution a month or less of convicton.
I honestly haven't heard any of these laws on the news, but I agree with some of these laws. Do you?

as to the second one...guys have to take responsibility...tho i dont agree with the first one..im pro choice...women should have a right to have an abortion and it doesnt matter how they got pregnant...the 4th one seems harsh...i still cant decide about the death penalty...seems too cruel to me...and i dunno if a law like that would pass at all...

how are these 'laws' going to be enforced onto congress? the whole point of congress is to vote on laws.
who is this friend of yours?
Some of those seem pretty ridiculous to get passed by any majority so... chances are nah.
and honestly i dont agree with any of them. 2 is almost okay but... what if the guy is a bad father? the whole 'a bad father is better than no father' doesnt really hold water. it should be judged on an individual basis regardless. and forcing someone to be with someone else because of a kid is only going to make a hostile environment for the kid.
and putting people to death in a month... not only wouldnt that work in most places but it would only be passed in texas if anywhere. it wouldnt be a country wide thing, it would be state.
Woosh!

yes but that excludes all the other possibilities..so i dont agree with 1st one...and as to the 2nd...well forcing them to stay with the girl and kid is ridiculous (didnt read it properly before lol ) but there still should be some support from the father's side...it happens so often here that they refuse to take responsibility and even tho they still should at least pay something they dont and the government doesnt do anything about it

um...after reading the 2nd one properly i have to change what i sad before and dont agree with that either...and i have a perfect example from my life...my parents divorced before i was born and my father refused to admit im his daughter despite all the blood tests and all for 9 years...he was an abusive alcoholic...now can you imagine what it would be like if he was forced to stay with me and my mom? regular beatings, arguments...itd be hell

same here, but if he wasnt an alcoholic, that woulnt happen. likw, there'd be this state test of both parents, like an BloodAlcoholContent test and drug tests so the mother could see the results and choose. so there's a choice in the matter.

so once again there is a choice involving a court... so nothing in the system has changed... so we are wasting time and money passing laws that dont do anything in congress....
sounds about right i guess.

honostly, they all sounded like dumb ideas...
1) i think women should have the choice themselves, saying "after there's been rape or incest they get a choice"
2) i dissagree, makes no sense, if my mom would have stayed with my dad she would have gotten regular beatings, my brother would probably have become emo cause he doesn's accept him as his son, how will that be good for the kids?
3) what if there are several people accused of the same crime, it will take up a lot of jail space, and the wrongfully accused can sue them eventually, making the government lose a lotta money on things they could have prevented...
4) 1 month left to live... who the hell thinks that's a good idea?
what if you're wrongfully accused?
