new suggestion: elemental attributes

i think it would be way cool if we could use the elemental attribute system to get bonus effects in battle. like fire and water, thunder and ice, earth and wind, light and darkness.

Whilst that would be a good idea, the implementation to the already existing system would be a tremendous undertaking. Now, I'm not sure how Fun's database works but I'm assuming he has some form of SQL database. In order to add elemental affinities he would have to add the following:
To Weapons:

Element_Atk

To Armor:

Element_Guard1
Element%_Guard1
Element_Guard2
Element%_Guard2
Element_Guard3
Element%_Guard3
etc.

To Brumos:
Elemental_Atk
Element_Guard1
Element%_Guard1
Element_Guard2
Element%_Guard2
Element_Guard3
Element%_Guard3
etc.

Let's say there are 200 weapons in the game, and 50 of those are elemental. That's 50 new values which have to be added into the system for weapons alone.
Now, if there's 200 pieces of armor, if 50 of these are elemental then there is a possible value of 300 new values to the system.
If there's 200 Brumos, 50 are elemental. 350 new values to the system.

So, that's 700 new values to the system, assuming that only 50weapons, 50 armour, and 50 Brumos are elemental based. It's not a difficult thing to add at all, sure the algorithms will be a * to balance. The main problem is actually A. Time to implement B. Strain on the current system.

To be fair, it would be interesting to see Elemental Affinities, maybe each class has a certain %guard against certain elements, such as Knights guard 5% fire 5%wind, etc.
