New PS3 Slim
So in case nobody's heard the big news yet, apparently there's been a tremendous price drop on the ps3. Not only that but apparently the new ps3 slim should be out tomorrow (Sep. 1) In North America anyway, I'm not to sure about Europe
I guess this means I can finally afford one XD

maaate, how good does it look? i cant believe the old one was $695 (Aus) with a 40gb hard drive, and the new one is $495 with a 120gb one.. I was shafted..

also, it seems a lot of (not actually a lot) of gamestop places around the u.s. have already sold some ps3 slims as of like last week. Either sony doesnt care, or some people talked some dumb gamestop employees into selling them the thing early.
frankly, i really dont like the way it looks. I would have rather they put the power brick outside the system but they didnt, so its still kinda big. its really only the ps3 diet as opposed to the slim. Would not be surprised if they redesigned again before the console life is up.
also, im waiting to hear about power issues. yes it uses less power and stuff but its fan area is smaller and its more compact. so... only time will tell.

bloody convienient though.. im almost full on the 40 gig model, and i dont even have any games on there.. (Cept FF7)
But with more hard drive slace comes more downloads, and with more downloads comes more paying for downloads..
So i guess better to have loved and lost, then never to have loved at all.. wait.. thats not right..

i guess your correct to an extent.
my 360's 20gig was too small since 7 of that gigs went to backwards compatability and demos are fun to install.
but what i mean is:
my 80gigs for my PS3 is enough
my 120gigs for my 360 is more than enough.
why bother with anything larger?

i had a 40 gb ps3 but i swapped it out and put in my own 120 gb. best thing i ever did. i only keep some music on it for the occasional game that lets me use custom soundtracks and i also have like.... 20 movies on there. some of my favs or just new stuff.
but yeah, anything more than 80gb and you just arent using it right.
considering you can use the ps3 or 360 and a media hub while streaming to it you dont need the hdd space.
i just need to get the right program for that first lol.

mm yeah, i still would like to have more than 40gb.. I would just love to be able to store movies, family guy, music, porno... i mean photos..
without worrying about maxing my storage space..
