new idea for ff7 game...
how about a game based on cloud's early years in SOLDIER? dirge of cerberus concentrates on vincents earlier years when he was in the turks i think this idea could be just as successful if not more than DOC. could also have zack in it and maybe even glimpses of cloud's mother who we have rarely seen.

Cloud never was SOLDIER, they were just Zack's memories. Cloud was only ever a poor Shin-Ra Troop. He was nothing. Oh, and there is a game based around the times of Cloud as a Shin-Ra troop and Zack as a SOLDIER. It's called Crisis Core and is coming out on PSP.
DoC isn't based on Vincent as a Turk. It is set one year after Advent Children, where Vincent must defeat the DGS. I do however, believe there is scenes from his Turk days in the game.

didn't realise crisis core was based on that but still cloud was part of SOLDIER wasn't he? just not 1st class i thought. i would've thought so anyway, he was travelling around with zack and sephy who were SOLDIER so i figured cloud was SOLDIER too but not as high ranked as zack/sephy

To my knowledge, SOLDIER is what the first class units such as Sephirot and Zack were called. Like a different branch, such as Navy Seals or SAS.
