Maybe that's because you're on the League of Legends forums.
Assuming that people on funender would adhere to that kind of behavior is ludicrous. Plus we don't go around closing closing threads until there is enough evidence to suggest that it is the best course of action.

they're right flarey, we should veer from a dislike button.
if for nothing else, it's a really chidlish button. if you like what i say, now you can hit a button instead of saying, "i agree" or "lol, totally" so that the poster knows your feelings on the post.
but if you dislike something, you should tell them why and explain your dislike of the post.

I agree with this entirely, the thumbs up button is ridiculous and huge.  The concept is great, and I approve, but seriously, that is huge. Also, I don't know about the other formats, but I'm running the "original" board style, and the list of likes seems too low on the post to me, and it looks more like it's listing them as like for the post below it.

and while i'm on making suggestions, can you format it so that i don't jump back to the first page of the thread when i like something? it's kind of annoying and i can see myself becoming greatly annoyed in the near future because of it.

That is probably your browser causing the jump to 1st page. try clearing your cache, FuN says it works right on FF and IE and its working right on my Safari too.

Yeah, when I like a post it is actually teleporting me to the post itself, placing it at the top of the window, instead of the middle where it was >.> but it's on the same page, just looks weird when everything shifts up suddenly.

Same deal, clear the cache, it should be in the options menu in the browser, assuming you're using the stock psp internet browser.

I agree with Crazed then on the use of the like button only. I strongly disagree with that phrase "if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything" and I find that a dangerous moral to follow.
