hmm, how bout a hero (main charicter) that is a complete badass, unlike cloud or squall (not saying there not badasses) he will actuilly be stronger, like squall doesnt open u pand talks to himself WAY to much, and cloud is strong and stuff but doesnt have good knowledge, he is weak spiritually but strong mentally and physiclly, the main char im thinkin of is obveiousslly cool, badass, strong, and as a weapon a sword that is big and cool looking, that can be uprgaded and stuff like in FF8.

Maybe... But the point would be why are these two characters enemies... Perhaps the search for power? Or might this villian be an old friend of yours, now manipulated by some unknown all-powerful being?

hey who said the GOOD GUY has to be GOOD? like look at ZIDANE he is good, but hes a thief, which is ironic that he saves the world kinda.
so why not put a freelancer kinda hero, like Aramant, he is also a thif, and a "good" guy. at the end he kinda relizes he has been a moron.
so yea, a bad good guy would be cool.

Yeah... I get your point now, Locke from FFVI calls himself a Treasure Hunter, but everyone (including myself) calls him a THIEF lol.
Let´s say this bad good char did something BAD in the past; which unleashed some sort of evil he must stop
