Need help getting rid of a Trojan
Does anyone know how to get rid of a Trojan called Zlob? I've tried following instructions online and none of them seem to work and it's really getting on my nerves...
EDIT:
I have successfully banished Zlob from my PC, no thanks to you guys.

"I don't think you're supposed to smoke during class."
"This isn't a cigarette. It's just a lollipop."
"Lollipops don't make any smoke."
"No, that's just 'cause it's so lollied."

Well if I would have seen this I would have said go to run type in regedit... the go to the find I think it's F3 default and type in the trojans name. every instance it is found delete that key. Then do a search of all hidden folders and system files for the name of the trojans name. Delete anything you find... if you cannot (write protected) reboot into safe mode (mash F8 just before the windows boot screen with the scrolling bar) follow search thing above. Then make sure your backups that are made (if you haven't turned off this feature) are not infected and delete the ones you do find infected... reboot and search the registry again to make sure it hasn't re-appeared. Also you may want to do a full deep virus scan from a virus program that receives updates (some of the free anti-virus are really good like Avast! and AVG).
Warning: Messing with the registry can brick your windows install so make sure you're not deleting system files of the same name or something like that, do at own risk!
