My Ps3 Brokeded
  my ps3 broke today and thank god i got a warenty but i have to think what if it breaks again when i dont have a warenty or what if i didnt have a warenty  btw Gamestop said there is nothing i can do and that i'll lose all my data............ima have a very very very very very long weekend

Which part has broke because surely the data is all stored on the hard drive which as far as I know can be taken out of the PS3. Then you could just transfer the data to your PC and put it back onto the PS3 when its repaired. I could be wrong though as ive never removed the hard drive on my PS3.

no there is nothing i can do its a "fatal system error" the guys at gamestop says
what happens is i'll turn it on and it will say hard disk component is corrupted want to restore? and i'll click yes then it will load and say restoring and about halfway up the restore load bar the system resets itself and repeats with the same message and then the same process

They do. PS3 is selling under half the amount that Wii and Xbox 360 are selling (individually). To be expected since there's no good games out yet and it's stupidly overpriced for a piece of junk.

Oblivion's good but the only other half-decent looking game which isn't out on anything else is Resistance.

Well Motorstorm and Ninja Gaiden Sigma are also good. I find myself playing Motorstorm more than Resistance.
