Well, Have you tried Junctioning Strenght 20%, 40 % or 60% or did you Junction the best spell for your Strenght? Remember, The higher the number of the spell junctioned was, the higher the result could be..

The lower your character's levels, the easier they stand a chance to defeat monsters around the world map, dungeons, or even bosses.

If your characters is at lvl 30,all of the monsters will be at same (lvl30) EXCEPT for monsters at Island Closest to Hell cuz they're always at lvl 100.

We hav almost similar playing cloud15 because my characters were at lvl 15-20 if I'm not mistaken.

Here's some solutions:
1. There must be GF junctioned, there's a tip for GF.

GF TIP:
It will easier not to hav multiple GFS just to complete all one character's stats, so unlearn some unimportant GF skills and teach one of them all the stats HP,STR,VIT,SPR,MAG (the most important). The rest stats is up to your choise. I don't play boost since I don't even summon GFs at all during battles so why don't you just unlearn Boost. Teach them better skills, so only 1 GF can provide 1 of your character with all stats junction.

2.Equip Healing type magic onto your HP stat such as (Curaga/Life-Disc1/2,Full-Life-Disc3/4),equip Fire type magic preferably Firaga onto your STR stat for Disc 1/2/even 3. You'll be doing real high damage 7000++ with only dat magic junctioned. Keep total 100 magic for your stats, don't use em since it is for your stats. Make sure you really hav 100 Firaga (example) onto your STR, you're dealing 300 damage might propably cause you hav insufficient magic amount junctioned onto your stats.

3.Always experiment newest magic you've drawn from bosses or monsters onto your character's stats, Drawing is the key to FF8 gaming.

4.You can refine some powerful magic such as Meltdown from cards also, erm Gayla cards I think. Play cards as much as you can, get some valuable cards for future usage. Firaga for low levels is far good enuf, you can refine em using Wizard stones and there's alot of cards can be refined onto Wizard Stones.

Another thing to look for, make sure they have stronger weps than their original ones. I played through the wholoe game because I didn't know you could get new weps Very Happy (never looked at the mags). Another thing, get Forbid Mag Ref GF ability and get some Ultimas or Flares, it will raise strength good. My guys always deal 9999 since I used flare to max their strength out.

Also depends what you're fighting.... For example an enemy with a high defence won't take much physical damage, despite the level of your character

Yeah.. When at higher level, Try using Flare or Ultima for your Strenght, Haste or triple for your Speed, Curaga for your Hp and HOly for Rinoa's Magic (if you like Rinoa.. Well I used Flare on Rinoa's Magic for max damage on Limit Breaks especially when Meltdown is cast)

Well. You can draw them from Island closest to Heaven and Island closest to hell.. They are hidden so you can just press X anytime..

To get Auras, Refine them from Fury Fragment (Blue Dragon) to produce 5 auras..

To get Flare, Refine from Hell Fang (Ruby Dragon) to roduce 5 Flares..

To get Ultima, Refine Ultima Stone (after Defeating Ultima Weapon or Refine Ultima Card into an Ultima Stone) to produce ? Ultimas...

You can also Draw Ultima time to Time on the Tribute...umm.. Bah! Screw it! I forgot but what i know is that it is Near Trabia Garden...
