no I understand, when you have great ideas for both songs or a lilttle glorious parts thought of for a multitude of songs. (if that is what you ment)
both the Main theme (sometimes called Cloud's Theme) and Aeris's theme are very emotion packed! (and long) so it is a tuff choice when it comes down to it and sometimes i do not even make the choice, I work with 2 vids and do 2 different yet similar projects and see which one is better or I keep both!

Uh....
Unfortuanatly, that's not how I work. I choose the music, then I choose the clips that will greatly induce the emotional impact of the music. They go hand in hand. Without that, you might as well just be watching random things. If they don't connect, the veiwer will not feel anything towards it, therefore, the impact is lost.
Each song I want has it's quailites and faults. I guess it depends on what mood I'm in, lol. I would have used One Winged Angel, but I'm saving that to use the Advent Version to compile a FFVII through FFXI thing....
God I have no life, lol.

Oh I do that to,
right now I am listening to Fix You by Coldplay and I am seeing Naruto (scenes of Haku and Zabuza dying [young haku and Naruto with tears in his eyes] and later on when another important character dies). I dislike putting in random scenes, though I have been know to put in one or two scenes that are not essential to the overall feeling and hated doing so. As well if the song has very powerful lyrics, lip syncing is key to.
The next vid I want to do is Love Hina to Horny '98 by Mousse T.

Yeah... Filler can be agonizing, but if I have nothing to use, and I have a certain amount of space to fill, I will choose a random scene. An example would be in my video "Final Fantasy Music Video," I use some FF8 junk to fill up space when I had too little clips. (Hey, it was my first one, lol.)
