Oh my gosh! Magic the gathering! This is just freaky, Tifa. I have a Red-Blue deck that is designed to take control of your creatures and throw them away that turn to deal even more damage to you after I make your own creatures attack you, and that is if I don't like the creature enough to keep it. If I do, I have ways of keeping it on my side of the field. It also has a few counters, just in case there are some creatures that are too scary to even let land on the battlefield.

I once upon a time played magic. maybe back in 1999. I have my cards/decks somewhere. Im a firm believer in red/green decks. Ahh, good times indeed. Theres a magic game on the new consoles these days and a demo for it. worth checking out if you are into it.

Yeah. Red/green are pretty awesome. Those are the ones that usually beat my Red/blue. They flood the field with too many monsters to control. Quanity, not quality, of monsters beats my Red blue. If you are relying on a small group of huge beasties, good luck. You'll need it.

^_^ I make great use of my white lifelink deck thanks to venser's journal no max hand size and I get 1 life for every card in my hand during my upkeep.
That or I use my red burn deck that includes Chandra Ablaze...the best planeswalker for that deck...great combo Chandra ablaze and Fire Servant...its a magic heavy deck not many monsters
The of course my blue black mill deck which is slow but amazing...
Then my Black beat down deck that's designed to kill quick...
Black/green infect...
holy * I'm still a begginner but I built alot of decks...heheheh

Beginners usually do build a lot of decks. ~nods~
I have a Black/Green/Red deck that I am working on that uses unlimited combos. In most cases I can get the unlimited manna combo out by turn 4-5. And since it is done by unlimited sacrifices, I threw in a few creatures that get +1/+1 until the end of turn every time a creature goes to the graveyard. Did I mention that it includes the card Endless Cockroaches? By far my scariest deck idea yet. The only hang up is that darned Alueren being so... so... GREEN. >.<

Standard?
Nah nah nah. I don't do that. Not with decks that I am trying to have fun with.
I run Legacy.
I haven't made a Standard deck in a while lol.
I could... theoretically... I could make a good Standard deck... But I have so many old cards. It is like they are telling me my old treasures are now worthless. >.<
You'll run into a lot of people that make Legacy decks if you get into MTG. They are usually the hardcore people.
Me? I'm mostly just a deck builder myself. I don't play the game as much as I just make decks and sell them or let other people use them. People get offended when I play against them with my decks. I nearly broke up with Tilley early because she was so angry at me for "treating her cards like sh!tt" by taking control of them temporarily, attacking with them, and then tossing them to the wayside.
So I quit actually playing except when people know that it is just for fun.

I play for fun too...but my access to cards is limited to latest releases...I have an online game I play on too...I've played legacy before in r/l I tend to play standard because its easier.
I love LackeyCCG its a great free play software...and I don't have to pay for cards and it has every card from the beginning to now.

Just do yourself a favor. Demand that people you play against play standard too. It may make a few people huff off, but it is no fun going Standard vs. Legacy. Yoosa die.

I've done standard vs. Legacy...sometimes I die sometimes I win...I've used old school cards before...like the vizzerdryx...or whatever that mutant bunny one is I still have that one...and black lotus...which is staying in its holder until I get the itch to sell it...its illegal so sellin is all its good for.
I play for fun and I usually lose anyway...even to standard decks. I just brush it off as experience and go on.

My sis she's played since the start, she got a black lotus a long long long long time ago and she kept it good condition.
Last I checked a Black Lotus was sellin for close to 30,000 but I don't want to sell it yet...its bein saved for a rainy day.
