basically, they broke really hard for no reason and i nearly back-ended them. I turned left last minute and probably missed them by a few inches. Then they hit the gas and kept driving.

there was a dead opossum on the road, that was it. No animal. It would have been easy to see it from where i was.

Actually, you can totally see the tire marks we made on the road now. It's weird driving past it every day.
