World of Warcraft I think. Ive never played it because ive heard the game is just so addicting.
There is also Guild Wars and Runescape that is an online web browser RPG.
Two Worlds is out soon its an Oblivion clone and may be an MMORPG but I don't know for sure.
Ive never really played any of them though. RPG's with a storyline and single player are more my thing.

Well I think with Two Worlds you dont have to pay anything apart from buying the game.
Apart from Runescape that is free last time I checked I don't know of any.

WoW requires monthly payment
as for not downloading, that cuts down your choice a lot!
all i know is runescape, and it sucks...

Mine too, there are no people, even though you might lose a good chat, no one annoys you 
Good MMORPGs? Most are paid to play, so I don´t play them... Private servers can do the trick about that. I´ve been told World of Warcraft is one of the best around, but I can´t play it due to old PC -.-

runescape sucks, there are several enjoyable free MMORPGs around there but they're to download, as for WoW it's the best MMORPG, it seems to consume the players with loads of quests, things to learn and an expension pack which will add 10 more lvls to do, more skills etc
the world is huge btw, my friend used to play in a private server and they are enourmous, now he pays to play, 12 euros a month i think...
and my other friends have been paying monthly already...

I agree... I'm playing World of Warcraft right now, and the content of it is just amazing... There are so many quests, and so many items that you can get... The people on there for the most part, are very friendly... The levels go by kind of slow if you are new so it lets you continue playing for a long time, and then you can expand your characters uniqueness with a thing called a Talent Tree I believe it is called. Then you can choose between 2 main professions and I can't remember how many secondary professions... ,but yeah the game is fun, and btw... If you do begin to play this game, start a character on Ursin or any other PvP server, because imho, it is way more better... Message me if you have any questions.

Thought of another online RPG. Sacred. The main game was a proper RPG with storyline and was single player. The map size was huge. There was also a multiplayer mode that was free. Characters were White Elf, Dark Elf, Mage, Vampiress and a few others. It was quite a good game. There is infact a Sacred 2 out this year.

and it isn't free
it's still one you need to buy in the stores or online, there are only a few mmorpgs on the internet compeltly free (some are free for a while and suddenly need a monthly payment... *cough priston tale cough!* )
and as you said: it's not an rpg, it's fps, cause if you'd say BF2 you can jsut as well add BF 2142 (i soooo wanna try those 2 games btw XD )
