oh MAN this game is addicting.
been occupying most of my time.
its like.... legos, but for adults. and with monsters.
anyway, thats where i've been spending my time recently, set up a server and playing the game with my friends.

Seriously though, Minecraft is freaking awesome. I tried to set up a server but I can't seem to get anyone connected to it, they always time out.

yer i dnt think the multiplayer is up and running for alpha yet =/ but when it does it will be awsome lolz minecraft makes the time gosooo fast tho lolz

multiplayer IS up and running...
my server:
76.115.169.189
Join in, have fun, please dont destroy our stuff. (but feel free to improve it if you can  )
i got the server runnin on my laptop and it seems to be MOSTLY working right, there are still a few bugs but all of them are with the software not with the hardware. so patches will make it more stable and less buggy.
OH and please put your minecraft name here so i know who is playing =)

There is Multiplayer, but it's still a work in progress so it can be slow and buggy.

im running no mods, the game updates like 7 times a week, and each mod requires patching to work properly to get it running right. so im not going to bother with mods at the moment.
i saw a few of you in the server log, unfortunately i can only update my server when i get home (4:30pm PST) and i saw it kick a few of you off for having the latest version and my server did not yet.
so yeah, i'm doing my best to keep it up to date, i just can only do it when im off work.

build things
mine for rare things
build more things
fight things that try to kill you
build cooler things
that about sums it up.
if you want a comparison to an existing thing:
its like legos, if you had to search for each block from a massive world of blocks. many things you build are superficial, as in you build them becasue they look cool. some things you build are functional, they either help you defend against enemies, or they help you build something else, or they help you get more blocks.

James: "he got beatup while in a mineshaft by some guys who came on the server, they closed him in. he's afraid to come out now..."

so war has broken out on the server.
