midgar exit time
well, a little back story: the ff8 forum area has a race thread and that reminded me of a pal and me seeing who could get out of midgar the fastest in ff7. i think the best we ever got it down to was around 5 and a half hours. it always seemed to take forever. and prolly took a good 8 hours the first couple goes through. crazy how long it takes to get to the world map in ff7.
anyway, just wondering if anyone else did this or what.

i remember when i go out of midgar the first time i played it as a kid i though,
man...

 took me 6 hours but i was low leveled...cloud's level was 14 i think...i'm restarting the game so i'll tell you later ^^

yeah it is really hard to get out of there. pretty crazy to think that before that the world map was non-existant. for a good 7 hours my first go through. and even ff8, the world map is soooo limited in the first disc. you barely explore at all. so sad lol.

When I played it back in the day I remember being able to get to Wutai in a day. I spent the most time in midgar leveling up cloud's limit and then blasted through all the bosses up to wutai.
I'm 23 now. I think the last time I played this game all the way through I was 17

i dont remember the timing but i was level 16 it just seems hard to get any higher than that before leaving midgar
i was wondering actually what level were you when you reached disc 3, i think im abnormal in being level 65 when im nearly at the end of the game although i can handle most of the creatures in the crater
