Just make sure you are over level 50.
Have
haste-all
wall-all
cure3-all
regen-all
strong summons
comet2
level 3 magic
mastered summons are good too
you could go around getting all the "super" materias such as doublecut, slashall, kotr etc but they really aren't necessary.

Yep.. as long as you have over 1500 hp you should be fine.
Before you go into the temple of the ancients, if you haven't used Aeris up until then you should level her up a bit because she is forced upon you here

yeah thats about the level i was at if not lower i prefer going into stuff at lower levels

Well, cos I used mainly Cloud, Barret and Vincent, my other party members weren't too great, although the nifty little FFVII innovation of sharing some exp with non-battling party members stopped them from getting too weak.
JENOVA is pretty easy to beat. I was around level 60-65 when I reached this point in the game. It's not necessary to be that level, but the higher the better, I suppose.
Bizzaro Sephiroth was not that troublesome....the only problem was that it took a while to whittle his HP, seeing as you have to split your party members into several battle groups.
Safer Sephiroth was a pain in the rear..... luckily for me, I found a nifty little glitch which pretty much guarantees you a win as long as your levels aren't TOO low.
This method requires the W-Item materia. I can't remember how to get it though, sorry. You select the first item you want to use (say, a Megalixir), and then click who to use it on. Then, you select a second item, but rather than choosing your target, you cancel the item, and lo and behold! Your first item (the Megalixir as an example) will have increased in number! Keep trying this until you get as many items as needed. I used this tactic with Megalixirs and Hero Drink's, and poor old Sephy didn't know what hit him.
I'm pretty sure that's correct, but if I'm wrong, please feel free to correct me.
