materia overload
I just started playing this game again the other day and decided not to buy any materia in midgar because I always end up with too much... e.g. buy a fire materia and you end up with two once you get Red xiii and I end up having to buy another bolt and ice materia to balance it out.. because I'm weird.
Anyone else have problems with this sort of thing?

i always end up with two many bangles. I buy equipment and then i find it on the way out of midgar and for some reason no matter how many times i play the game i just keep doing it over and over. i also end up with a lot of restores but i don't mind having more materia than i need, the more the merrier.

You don't need more than 1 of each of bolt, fire and ice though really... and later in the game they'd be replaced by the contain materia.

I did that at one point but ended up not being able to equip things like Earth, Destruct and Contain because of all the all materias attached to them.

Naaah there's plenty of room to hold onto it... but I just hate leaving partially levelled stuff lying there :/
But the best thing about an "all" materia is when its mastered sells for a large amount ( about 200k) can't remember exactly how much but it sure helps when raising chocobos.

I really don't care about that, because one can just put extra materia to other characters than the ones he normally uses... And I don't see it as a waste of gil buying stuff in the start of a game (beleave me, I also mostly felt like watching really much of not using too much of my gil in the start, which is mostly just a bad habit or such)
