Mass Effect
So I just got an xbox 360 lol. The price lowered even more so I though, what the hey.
Anyway I got Mass Effect as well since that looks good. I've only been playing for an hour or so but I wanted to post so 1. I could make a new topic before anyone else did, and 2. point out that the main character in the game has the same name as the leader of the Stargate Atlantis team lol
anyway so far so good, lots of dialogue in it already and the voice acting is superb. The only gripe I have is that my xbox is really, really loud. Is that normal?
Does anyone else have mass effect?

yes, the xbox is loud. lol, try updating it via xbox live, and storing the disk on your hardrive, it should run quieter.
as for the game, i've played it through so many times. I love it! and if your going to download the optional new content from xbox live, don't wait until you beat the game, download and play somwhere around half way.
here's my fav combo
the quarian: the quarian can only use pistols, so lets buff up on her techs, and encryption skills
the krogan: let the krogan use that b.a.m.f. of a shotgun. as well as his techs.
yourself: and work on your long range weapons

I just got Garrus and the quarian after rescuing her from assassins.
I just can't get over how much this game is like Stargate: Mass Effect. lol
Gamer Tag...None yet. I haven't gone online yet and didn't really plan to unless I found a game that would make it worthwhile..
Th xbox goes nice and quiet for some reason randomly when I turn it on too.

Yeah I'm almost done with Mass Effect 2. To be brutally honest as always though... I liked 1 better. The reason is ME2 had waaayy too much action too early. In the early levels on Omega, when fighting the Vorcha I found myself almost running out of ammo I was using that much. They should really save the long fights for the more meaningful battles, not just every assignment. Though I'm doing well now.
Another complaint is that I couldn't stand having to reload and pick up ammo. This is 150 years in the future! (I know it's "thermal clips" but it works in exactly the same way as ammo, and it's just lame)
The collector particle beam should have had more ammo too lol
But I'm liking the story and the new characters. Hopefully I can end it well

Have the Collectors Edition of Mass Effect 3.... almost @ the end... and for the first time, I found a game w/ a MultiPlayer that I don't hate.... lol
So far I really like this game, have taken the same character through all 3 games, with the same romance.
