Marline's Relations...
I have noticed that in advent children film, Marline are orphans and they seem to have some relatives.. Barrett says that he will try and get up to see marline soon and at the end she holds his hand with a cat. But at the beginning of the film, she says "and someone i love went back to the lifestream too..." and the clip of cloud putting aerith into the lifestream comes up whilst she is saying that. And near the ending, where it starts to rain and she is inside at the window with denzil, the clip of the materia dropping into the water from the beginning, they see that clip and another with aerith praying. But then she refers Aerith as "her" by saying "is it her?" And that seems to me that she dosent know her much.. But i got the impression that Them two were related. Does anyone know of her Family?

mareline is only related to barret. its his daughter. Everyone has close friends. Im guessing that aeris and mareline were close, as was everyone else with aeris..
im guessing its impolite to say aeris in the film, its more formal to say 'her'. thats my guess neway

Marlene was NOT Barret's daughter, she was Dyne's daughter, yet after his fight with Barret in the Corel Prison, he jumped off the edge of the cliff and killed himself. Barret ended up looking after Marlene after Corel was burnt down by the Shinra and her mother was killed.
In the game, Dyne gives Barret a necklace to give to Marlene that was her mothers.

i cant remember that, are you sure?
from what i remmeber, the fist scene you see marlene was with barret in the bar, and there was no previous flashbacks about dyne and marlene... and i know dyne never gave barret anyhting in the present..

It IS the first time you see Marlene in 7th heaven, yet if you progress further into the game... all is revealed.

Thats why in AC, marlene is an ORPHAN. She wouldn't be a damn orphan if barret was her dad.
and rufus says "i hear you have orphans living with you"
cue, the word orphanS (as in plural...as in Denzel AND marlene)

He throws the necklace at barret, and this is reiterated when Barret shows Coates (the guy in a suit in the trailer) the necklace, which is proof that he's 'killed' Dyne, WHICH IS WHY THEY DO THE CHOCOBO RACE TO GET OUT OF THE PRISON ION THE FIRST PLACE

Orphan means BOTH of your parents are dead, it doesn't mean homeless. You don't see the others living with them. Marlene is Dyne's daughter, not Barret's. If you're too f.u.c.k.i.n.g dumb to realise this, I suggest you sit down, play the game and pay attention. You call yourself a fan?
