lol, I died of poison during celebration
I was way underpowered when fighting Ochu, but I wanted a challenge. After nearly dying the whole time and launching attacks until my index finger got tired since the battle lasted so long, I had a sigh of relief to see him die. As the camera zoomed in on my character to celebrate, I died from poisoning lol. If it had only waited one more second I would have got the win.

I ordered mine from Amazon and got it the next day since it was shipped from the next state over  3nfy you may hate the game at first but man after 20 hours that is when the whole game totally transforms. I have never played a game that starts out bad but turns into a classic 20+ hours into the game. Just when I think that the game is about to end and there isn't much left to do but repeat the same thing, more cool things are introduced.

He's right. I thought the game was pretty much finished until i went around c'ieth stone hunting, are there is LOADS to the pig plains that you just dont see when you rush through it. I especially less than three the chocobos, though not how they butchered the song.
Just fought the ochu as well... it was going well until he re-sprouted all of his minimes. like a way more irritating dr evil clone.

Haha Pendy, yeah once I killed all of the mini's I relaxed and then he respawned them all I was like "ah crap!"  I am a little disappointed with the chocobo's speed, I thought he would run much faster. I guess they had to slow it down due to hardware limitations.

lol fun, if you hate ochus, just wait til you have to fight IT's big bro, neochu and its Picochu friends (does the sound of that seem familiar ). Those are like 5 times worse.
I'm currently in the process of getting 5 stars in each mission, only got 8 to go, not looking forward to beating neochu. I managed to 5 star ochu earlier today, took a few attempts. Thank god I managed 5 stars in both neochu missions the first time (45 and 55)
I've never died by poison, though I did kill a Long Gui and Vercingetorix with it

You need to wait until chapter 13. There are 3 portals near the start. 1 is locked until you reach the final area, 1 sends you back to eden and the last sends you to gran pulse (the base camp)

Yeah, its not the best chapter immediately for CP. Sacrifices do drop Perfumes which sell for 12,500 i think. Adamantoise gives 40k CP with a platinum ingot as its common drop (sells for 150k) and Trapezohedron as its rare drop (needed for ultimate weapons). These will be too powerful probably, but you could try and kill the adamantoise using Death (Vanille learns it in stage 9 sabateur).
Meanwhile, I get to struggle getting 5 star against Gigantuar, i hate this mark, how many needles can a cactus have  .
Edit: managed to get 5 stars on gigantuar, wippee. 4 marks to go.

Yeah... just tried my first adamantoise without using death. it didnt end well.
bout to fight neochu for trapezohedron. *breathe in, breathe out*
that trapezohedron is one of those 'first is hardest' thing, isn't it? i heard a rumour that if you dismantle fully upgraded kain's lance then you get 3 trapezohedrons. any truth to this?

Congrats manudude I do not use Vanille since she takes forever to cast cure spells and her annoying moaning sounds. I wish they would have had a separate volume control for the voices, since Snow is also pretty loud when he fights. I use Lightning, Fang, and Hope.

It is true, however it depends on what you use as the base weapon (first tier). Bladed Lance and Partisan will only give you 2 traps, Taming Pole won't give you any. The others weapons for fang will give you 3 traps once you get Kain's Lance to lvl 100.
Just incase you didn't know, the legs automatically get disabled if you summon. It makes adamantoise fall and stays down for about 55 seconds after being staggered. By the way, neochu doesn't drop trapezohedrons (common drop chocobo tail feather, rare sunpetal). I suggest you try and fight adamantortoise (archlyte steppe, there's an area in the north with 2 adamantortoises and 3 adamancheilds) which is slightly easier than adamantoise.
I only need to 5 star Vercingetorix to get the L'Cie Paragon trophy now . After that, I need to chase down the Treasure Hunter trophy <shudder>

The reward for the hunt (Titan's long challenge thing) reqards you with a genji glove, which i think can be dismantled for a trap.
in any case, it doesnt matter. it blasted me with the most powerful sound wave i've ever seen, hitting my characters for roughly 12k damage each and instantly killing them. hax, hax i say.
Plus, is it just me or does EVERYONE use lightning, fang, and hope? they were my main three as well, but mainly for the reason that sazh and vanille
, and snow... just irritates me with his 'i'm a hero, yay me' constant speeches. i wish operation NORA had succeeded.
