Left 4 Dead
Currently addicted to this game, its all about slaying 'infected ones' or I'd rather say zombies with 4 peeps a team. The good thing about the game is, its totally on teamwork - can either LAN network or play it online using Steam.
I'm sure about Valve or Sierra but when they release a game...man they sure pick the ones which hit the crazy outta people. I still remember how people got addicted to Counter Strike and Half Life once, now Left 4 Dead?

yes, PC version is the way to go.
its a 4 year old engine updated like crazy, so it runs fairly decently on most computers while looking amazing.

XD Nice comic!
Just got the torrent for the game, just to see if the game runs on my computer (I realise it's not a gaming laptop) However it does work with minor lag during the ambush's. There's suposedly a crack for getting online through the torrent, which I'll try out but don't expect it to suceed.
Anyways, yeah, this game is awesome, though I think the AI could use a tad more work. I love the Ambush's... No longer can you clear out a room and sit and chat and be safe. Either you go to them, or they'll come to you. =P
I don't, however, like the weapon system... The shotgun is by far the best weapon... Being able to 1-hit kill multiple zombies at medium range, or at close range you can use 5-8 close-ranged shots to take out a tank.. It fires way too fast, reloads faster than hanguns, and is too powerful.. Not exactly balanced. o.0
And Witch's suck. >.> *curses them* I've beat the first campaign and died 4 times from witch's, and only 1 time from tank. (Hit me off the rooftop to my doom on the roof finale)
OH! That's another good point, the enemies aren't "set" in locations. If you start a game, find a Tank in one doorway, you can restart (either by choice or death) and there's no guarentee he'll be there next time.. he may be somewhere else.. or not on the level at all. xD
AND just a side note.. Rooftop Finale sucks without online... The AI does take over for the remaining survivor's, however they are more focused on killing zombies and getting killed then actually running to the chopper. >.> Louis got grabbed by a Smoker (Why does it have smoke anyways? Shouldn't it be called like a Licker from Resident Evil series?) and Zoey, instead of running to the chopper that was 1 foot away, she ran into the horde of zombies for a closer shot to save him.. They both met their doom with 2 tanks and a mob of zombies. >.>

Orothe, online is really much better.
the weapons balance out as the zombies have slightly more HP and there are more of them (as you have a more compitent team at your disposal) so the weapons balance out (not sure about the sniper though)
Yah, i had the tank one-shot me out of the skyscraper, he killed half my team with one charge that way. the other half coul'dnt fend him off by themselves (he has TONS of HP in MP) and eventually got cornered and died. really sad.

Yeah, I seriously think the autoshotgun is a spoiler to the weapon system. A few rounds of shot can own Witch (I don't how many shots if its a headshot), and that weapon easily deal great damage to Tank.
But I thought you can set the difficulty settings in a LAN or single player game? The expert mode is really challenging omfg, a single hit from the witch means death and if you're dead its game over - no more waiting for the whole team to die. We can be incapitated by tank in a single blow, two more and we're dead - great...its like bye bye friends once we're down. Oh, I've tasted the feeling of being sent to the next map from Tank too Thor (No Mercy rooftop).
For some reason, sometimes I preferred playing LAN...but its the extreme friendly fire which made me think the AI's are better (though they really suck when it comes to escaping in the final maps). I can't imagine how the AIs got 0 friendly fire...man no matter how careful I was...the most I could do is 1 friendly fire.

That's kinda nuts, lol. It'd be nice for them to have more hp and such, however they are still mostly 1-hit kill with shotgun.. It still seems kinda out-weighed, just a bit less is all.
And it seems impossible to not have friendly fire. (There's a major one that you may laugh during that video)... To survive is to stay close.. To stay close in a cramped hallway or tunnel or something means you're going to be hit accidentally at some point. o.0 lol

Yeah, thats why one of the major reasons why one of the most confident teammate in the team had to use an autoshotgun. My friends and I played a complete different style than the guys on the vid, one with an autoshotgun (most of the time was me ^^), another with a hunting rifle (I personally think sniper is important though there are many speculations about it - a very good medicine for Smokers and Hunters...also the best bully killer for Witches), then two of us with the rifles.
The cramped hallway tactic is one of the greatest way to eliminate the zombie hordes really ^^, if the guy with the autoshotgun duck and shoot while the other shoots above him (other than a shotgun)...there won't be any friendly fire. Same goes with the other way. Thats why the guy with the shotguns should always be at the most front. ^^
The torrent online play uses Steam too? We gotta pay to play using steam right?

In the torrent location, someone has posted a suposed way to get online with it.. However I haven't had a chance to try it out yet.. I'll try tommorrow and keep you posted on if it works or not...
I'd like to try with everybody just using a Rifle. =P Sniper just seems... I don't know, I haven't used it myself so I don't know about it's measure of power, accuracy, reload speed, firing speed, ect... But I would just think that shotgun is powerful single shot, and rifle is accurate with a high rate of fire.. Sniper Rifle seems to be pointless most of the time because people are constantly on the move... No time to crouch and zoom and aim for head shots... Even though that may be a strategy for tank on a level like Rooftop Finale, where there's plenty of room to run away. XD
That's also another point/question I have... Tanks can hurt you severely, if not just throw you off a rooftop... Witchs you can deal with if you get tackled, but you must have dual handguns and aim for headshots.. Smokers and Hunters will kill you easily if your team isn't around... But what about the regular zombies? As long as you do the melee swing to push them back, they could surround you and you lose health extremely slowly.. I had about 9 zombies on me (Most of hte way surrounding me so I'm guessing) and I shoved a few back, shot them, reloaded a couple bullet,s and did the same with the others... I only lost around 20 hp.. or 20%.. w/e you wanna call it.. Has anybody actually died from a regular zombie?

Considering the one hit KO for Easy to Hard mode, and then 1 hit death in expert mode. I really follow the law of avoiding witch lol...

Unless cases like this happened:
1. While moving away from the witch, Mr.Hunter and Mr.Boomer came and do their job. The witch startled once we pull the trigger to save ourselves. Lets restart this round guys ^^.
2. The witch spawn right in front of the safe house! LOL, I really hate this one...its like "Ok, whose gonna sacrifice for the whole team?"
3. You ignored the cry of the witch, rush forward like some Rambo-wannabe then noticed the witch is just behind you telling you forgot to zip your pants.
